“This hotel feels so fancy! From all the gorgeous flowers and plantings at the entry you know you’re in for something special. The hotel is classic beauty with loads of patterned wallpaper, clean furniture, color coded books, marble counters in the breakfast area. The outdoor areas were so pretty and would even be a lovely place for an event. The entire place was spotless and tidy. Breakfast was quite yummy and the front desk was nice. This is an excellent place for families, couples, older travelers. It’s very quiet and peaceful and people act respectfully. If we’re back in the area we will definitely stay here!!”

“Not only was Karen at the front desk staff courteous and kind, she had an incredible memory. I left my AirPods behind on our bed and when I called, the front desk employee remembered who I was based on our conversation the night prior. It’s that special touch that really went along way just on a phone call long after we had left. I felt that she was sympathetic to how bummed I was to have forgotten my AirPods. She checked in with housekeeping and laundry and reassured me that things would be OK. She had staff try to listen for the pinging sound, and was determined to find my missing item.

I called the following day and talked to another front desk employee, and she was so excited to learn that the AirPods had been found. She got them ready for shipment and two days after sending to me, they are now at my house. I am extremely impressed and very appreciative of the Fairfield’s effort.”

“Do not let the other reviews (from years ago) alarm you. This was a clean, spacious and incredibly comfortable bed for the price. Yes, its not a Hilton but its affordable and clean. We stayed a night before the PSU football game and it was the perfect stop for us. The shower was clean and had good water pressure. Toilteries are available. The bed is comfy with a firm mattress. We did not use the heat or air conditioning in bedroom but opted to leave bedroom door open and have living room air conditoning circulate, with no issues. The tv worked and the kitchen was adequate. We didnt use the fridge besides putting a soda in there but it kept it cool. There's kitchen utensils and a working stove for those that need it. Floor was not carpeted and clean. I am particular about where I stay and I was happy here. Cleanliness is always a concern and I was incredibly pleased especially given the previous reviews. Take my updated review to heart if you are looking for a place. Check in was easy. Many people had dogs but the evening was quiet. Last thing, I appreciated the parking and access to the second floor room for us. It was a multi leveled parking lot so we didnt have to do more than a handful of stairs from the lot. We hope to keep coming back the night before a PSU game and will always return here! If you are looking for something negative, I will give you the ONLY thing. The bedroom window was unlocked. I locked it , as a safety precaution before bed despite being on the second floor. All other windows were locked.”
