It’s actually insane that this DG is rated so high. DG is a maliciously horrible company that doesn’t pay their employees a living wage and has them busy doing endless stocking, oftentimes there is also only one person working which is SO dangerous for the employee.
Because of the company’s policies, things are generally abysmal here because items are constantly out of stock for months, lines are long because there’s one person working who’s often alloted to other tasks so the cash register is empty. It’s pretty normal that you have to go look for someone in the aisles if you want to check out. Multiple times I’ve bought items and found that they were never bagged, or that I was wrung up for an item I didn’t buy because of the collected clutter from stocking and returns. the building is falling apart and the megacorp who runs it can’t be bothered to do anything but build brand new stores within a few miles.
IMPORTANTLY, I blame none of the employees. They are friendly people who are doing the best they possibly can while under the scrutiny and policies of a company who doesn’t want to pay its employees properly or even treat them with respect. I know for a fact that the people who work here are working incredibly hard day in and day out, often overtime, often alone. They remain as friendly as they can and I consider many of them some of the most enduring ppl I know.
People in Ligonier need to do a better job helping to call out the issues with stores like these, when it’s such an important staple in this town for many of us, especially those of us with a lower income. And especially when it is abundantly clear how poorly the employees are treated.

Was in Ligonier visting a friend, needed to stop in real quick to get items i had forgotton. First you had to walk through a puff of smoke from two employees standing outside ,right infront of the door smoking cigarettes. As i walked in i was overwhelmed by how big the store was,i had no idea where things were, i turned around to look for an employee, there was nobody around,. i walked around and finally found someone to help. She was so sweet and so helpful. I did not get her name but i couldnt help to notice her tattoos. We had a short conversation of how she decided to get 30 Steeler tattoos.. She just amazed me. I ended up being in the store about 20 mins. I could of stayed longer just talking to the tattoo lady. When i left i again had to walk past smoke again with the same two women still smoking.I felt so bad for the lady inside. Working all by herself. Thank you again tattoo lady.

had to drop off a fedex package at dollar general, ligonier pa. got great service from girl at register, but exceptional help from dollar general guy taking my fedex package. thank you dollar general.

Dollar General has a variety of items. Not always do you find exactly what you are looking for. But the store is clean and stocked as should be. Cashier was friendly.

Excellent customer service!!! These are some items I bought there. The shoes don't come with the Pom Poms I got the pompoms from the Kathys Kreations around the corner. This is the start of my Hallmark Christmas.

You can't even get though the aisles for carts of products sitting all over the store. Gallons of milk sitting on the floor.. worse Dollar general I have ever been in.
