“I’ve been using Shimmy Shine for over 12 years—seven or eight of those at the Bethlehem location on Route 191. After moving, I switched to the Allentown location on 31st Street, which is about five miles from my home.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service. I have the unlimited wash package for both of my vehicles, which includes the spot-free rinse. However, I’ve noticed that if I don’t dry the vehicles before leaving, I still get water spots. Fortunately, they now provide free drying towels, so I just pull into a stall and spend a couple of extra minutes drying everything off. That completely takes care of the spotting issue.
There are about a dozen vacuums available for free after you exit the wash bay. Once or twice I’ve used one with weak suction, but since the stalls are close together, it’s easy to switch to the next one. And if it’s crowded or you can’t move over, just let an attendant know—they’re quick to fix it, whether it's a clog or too much debris.
If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to sweep or power wash the drying/vacuum stalls more often. They can sometimes get a bit messy underfoot. If that small issue were addressed, I’d give them six stars instead of five.”

“I drive past 3 other car washes. In the 25 minutes it take me to get here. I don't do it just for the drive. The shampoo machine had quarters stuck in it. Which made it not able to take more. I decided to call just to let them know. Guy shows up in 3 minutes flat and uses his card to pay for it. Then wouldn't even take my coins. Soaps are not all deluded like most washes. Plus everything works and looks good too. Only place that I'll go to wash my vehicles.”

“Clean, 2 bays for self cleaning. Timer needs to be adjusted. There's no way quick rinse, soap, and rinse, and spot free rinse should cost 13$ with 1 person adding the money and another doing the work literally running around doing the work......I could have gone in the automated section for a bit less”
“Went through the light touch for $10, my car was dirty, not washed in a while. It did an ok job for 10 bucks, the top of the car was not washed well, the hood, the trunk, front windshield, top, and rear window was still dirty. If your car isn't too bad, this will work fine. Black car, super dirty, ok results”

Arguably a bit expensive/ kinda a pain in the ass because it only takes cash, but it's ok. My family has been going here for 30 years. I like all the options and the spray pressure is great. The one brush is spinning now, but it does not touch your vehicle.So it's basically its not working update, not fixed. The people are great at this car wash. But the owners are not fixing the equipment. You need to fix your equipment and maintain it. So it works when I pay $40 a month for unlimited washes fix your equipment.”
