My favorite go-to for an Asian market outside of Philly. This gem is tucked away in an indoor strip mall in Frazer. I can always find what I need from fresh produce (great prices and quality) to frozen dim sum items, sauces/spices, and other treats.

Cons:Be aware of their roasted duck and cooked chicken on Sundays since they are made on Saturdays in China Town. They are kept in the fridge with raw meat during Saturday night , and I got stomach flu once because of that and went to emergency care. Also be aware of the bean sprouts and fresh noodles, they are wrapped by an old lady who doesn’t wash her hands after using the bathroom and she doesn’t wear gloves when wrapping them. And sometimes she does wash her hands in the kitchen not in the bathroom, with frozen meat in the kitchen sink waiting to be defrozen. So make sure you cook anything raw well when you get home. Their kitchen is dirty and could not pass the government inspection for the first few times in the past about 4 years and was forced to close for 10 days the year before last year because of a severe heath violation.I was helping unload the truck there for the past year, I will pay more attention when going there knowing and seeing all those I mentioned above.Pros:Their prices are cheaper than HMart, and higher than Chinatown. So for basic needs, it is good enough. But for a wider selection of products, HMart is better. Gong’s services are good if you buy a lot. If not, and you ask too much, they will say bad things when you are gone. They usually are very friendly when they are not very busy, but when they are, they get angry easily and will use a lot of words you don’t want to hear when you are gone.So in summary, if you just need buy something, it is a good place. But don’t expect much if you are not a big customer, who spends hundreds each time. Do not show your WeChat moments to them, they are watching every customer carefully and talk about that with their friends. When you are there they will use that information to start the conversation with you, treating you as a big customer rather than, what you might see, a best friend. So protect your privacy.

Excellent selection of Chinese ingredients and good prices. They have frozen dumplings from the best dumpling maker in New York City so don’t pass those up. This place is legit.

Broad merchandise spectrum. Avoid visiting on Saturday late morning and late afternoon: *there is only one cashier and the wait time at checkout can be as long as 30mins*

The best Chinese grocery store for 10 miles around Malvern with very fresh produce, fish, (limited) meat, and groceries of authentic taste. Small, family run, always busy on weekends. Easy parking. Friendly outgoing Helen and her family speak Mandarin and enough English to make a good shopping experience for the 10% non-Chinese customers.Prices appropriately higher than in Chinatown, worth paying to avoid that time and traffic; never feels overpriced.

Only place I can find thick dark soy sauce and the OG chili crisp. They have lots of cool Chinese ingredients and my kids love to walk around with their phones translating product packaging to English. Friendly staff even though they may not speak full English.
