Outstanding "mom and pop" restaurant. Food and service are very good. Owner visited table to check on our food and thanks us for visiting. Authentic South American food with lots of gluten free options. Arepas, empanadas, tamales- all excellent!

I am a fan of this cuisine now. Incredibly bland food with an incredibly spicy sauce. Sauce was the highlight. I can even manage thai spice, but this was insane. Unless you get just a few drops on your food, it can kill you. As a vegetarian. Not a lot of options. I had their arepa and their yucca. Liked it well enough to take an arepa to go. A small establishment, but it was crowded. I wish I had taken a picture or two.

Delicious food, friendly and helpful service, and a pleasant atmosphere make for a great dining experience. I love Colombian food so I was very excited to try Mi Pais. The empanadas are a great starter. I also enjoyed the arepas. Nice selection of juices and coffee drinks as well. Small grocery selection. Wish I lived closer. I'd eat here all the time.

Mi Pais is a gem over in Malvern slinging deliciousness in the form of bountiful platters, empanadas, arepas, and more. The cutlets in my chicken milanese platter, pounded thin, fried to a golden crisp, yet tender and juicy inside, would make an Italian grandma proud. Side salad with vinaigrette and a mound of fluffy rice made it a balanced meal. The fries were awful and I wound up avoiding them, but the rest of the meal was so amazing that I can give them a pass for that. I’d ask for plantains instead next time. Leche asada was a total dessert dream. I hadn’t been here in several years, but I won’t make that mistake again. Do not sleep on Mi Pais!

Most highly recommend. Favorite place for Colombian empanadas, and for authentic South American soups and dishes literally “made by Grandma” —- can taste and feel the love, care, experience in each savory mouthful. We always feel as welcomed as family as this neat, happy, family-run eatery where the customers are always smiling, satisfied and sated. Good salsa music.Service is genuine with an occasional error of inexperience. Owner Juan is friendly, down to earth, and he and his wife (Grandma the chef) make this a very special place.

OVERPRICED. Too expensive for the type of food they sell. An aguapanela costs 5 USD and is served in a small glass, and so is everything else. I suggest you check the prices.
