My dog is 14yrs old & has been going to McKean vet over the last yr or so for reoccurrence prostitis. After being treated (4) separate times with $200 antibiotics (Baytryl), (dont get me started on what they pay for it) She suggested neutering to *hopefully fix this issue. I agreed altho dr Tucker said it could come back @ his age.I got him snipped & glady paid $600+Fast forward just 4 months later, he was showing the same tell tale signs of UTI. At his age , UTI can move fast to his kidneys. & kill him :/We live in Erie (half hr drive) so it’s very hard lifting/ lugging a 90lb dog that distance to be seen & given antibiotics. So (I) drove out to explain his symptoms as well explained the challenging situation bringing the dog to dr Tucker personally..I was expecting given his past there & this being his ONLY issue ever in his life, as well as mainly dealing with DR SCIBETTA, that they would simply write me an antibiotic.. WRONG.They wanted to do a culture test —even tho it was just done @ neutering & nutering is considered among vets as him receiving his “yearly exam” .This isn’t to bash as I had “heard” McKean vet & dr Scibetta carried a good rep.. & reviews also imply that. However if you’re an average blue collar person like me, with an average dog , mutt, or pitbull..Please Take my experience here as an example & a fair warning if considering these vets ..Dr scibetta & her staff clearly let me know, it’s all about the money. Not the animal.& my dog is still doing good to this day , going on 15 now.But not because of McKean vet.

Great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, from the veterinarian level to the tech level. Beautiful facility in a pleasant location — of course most animals here would be leashed, but it’s nice having some distance from the road for extra security. The only improvement I could hope for is limited weekend hours (i.e., an 8-1 pm opening on Saturdays), but, overall so happy with the care my furry and I have received here.

Everyone treated my girl Aero with kindness and gentleness(she was in pain and slightly grumpy). Discussed a treatment plan and what would be best for her health. I would recommend them to anyone who has fussy pups!

My daughter who is a college student had an emergency situation with her car. They refused to see the cat because he was going to be a new patient. So much for caring for animals.

Had three visits for my new pup. They have always been pleasant and thorough. However, my last appointment for 2 vaccines turns into a bill of over $200. During the exam I had asked for just prescriptions for nexgard and hart guard and was told no due to his age when you can get both on chewy for $40 and they want to charge $80. Also there is an exam fee charged on every visit. I also asked for pricing during the visit and was not provided till checkout with pricing. These services and fees are also not disclosed prior to visit. Will not be back.

I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about this business. Every time we walk through the door my dog is greeted by her name. We’ve had quite the ride with a medical mystery being back and forth from Erie to Pittsburgh, and every time I’ve had a concern the office has made it possible for her to be seen that day. Not once have we been rushed or pushed aside. In all honesty, they’ve spent more time at one appointment than I could’ve ever even imagined, just to make sure Rory and I were both comfortable before leaving. Dr. Greer has been amazing with following up on Rory, by making phone calls and tracking her case outside of scheduled appointment times. From my understanding he’s new to the practice and building up his patients. I highly recommend him if you’re searching for a new vet. The value he takes in understanding a case goes way beyond your scheduled times, he’s very dedicated and Rory and I can never thank him enough. Dr. Tucker makes sure to make Rory as comfortable as possible and gets right down on the floor with her. She truly brings Rory’s anxious tendencies down and has been able to get various testing done in a day. She will do as much as she can to ensure you leave feeling comfort in where the appointment left off.. even on the hard days, she can find the positives. If you’re looking for a vet for an anxious animal or if you feel nervous about the state your pet is in, she’s a great one to see and Dr. Greer too. The Vet techs also go above and beyond. The ladies at the front desk are such a joy to see, if it says anything at all, my anxious dog loves to go in there and head right to that front desk. I wish there was enough thanks in the world for this team, but I know that’s close to impossible.

First time pet owner. have been going there for 5 years now and have never been disappointed in the service. I may have to wait to get in at times but the prices are reasonable and I never feel they push extra services or try to pad the bill. Dr. DeMarco is excellent with the follow up phone calls and never seems rushed to get off the phone. She is very receptive to all questions. Have a little Yorkie mixed breed. They have treated her from everything from infected bites to minor eye surgery. Would highly recommend them.

They are always very attentive and handle my animals with care, even though my animals are not very nice to staff. Have been taking my animals to them for years and will never go anywhere else!!!

I have no negative things to say about this office. Obviously the prices are steep, but they are every where, so I can't fault them for it. So friendly and great with my pup.

How is this listed as a low cost spay and neuter facility when you have to pay for two separate visits and the spaying alone is over $325?! Of course females will cost more but really that's outrageousYour end bill will be over $500 easily
