“The man who runs this florist is so sweet and kind. When he has flowers that maybe don't meet up to his standards. Maybe they've been around a little too long, but are still very beautiful and still have a lot of life in them. He puts them in a 5-gallon bucket outside of the shop and puts a sign " free take some flowers." I think that is so wonderful ,I've never seen another florist ever do that. That just made my day. I was going to the pharmacy next door and there were these beautiful roses and hydrangeas. I was thrilled!!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers!!!!”

“I started getting flowers from Gidas when I was an undergrad at Pitt nearly 20 years ago. I've tried other florists in Pittsburgh and none have ever been as high quality or affordably priced. And I just was able to use Gidas for the flowers at my wedding. Everything was done beautifully and at a reasonable cost.
Also, as a dude, I have frequently gone in there with a set price and just let them create a bouquet. They have always been stunning.”
“To the people who leave the bad reviews obviously don't know how to handle situations properly.I did have an issue with my arrangement, but I reached out to the shop BEFORE review and they handled the situation appropriately. We came to a mutual conclusion that was fine for us both and I would gladly try this place out again. The arrangement I received was beautiful and my delivery went fine. The issues I had were dealt with and in a very friendly and patient manor. The customer service received was great!”

We asked for colorful and wildflower inspired and they blew away our expectations! Sue sent me options for the vases and she worked with us continuously through a couple of changes, even an entire date change. I 100% recommend them for all your flower and florist needs.”

They had all the information for time/location with just the name, and I really appreciated their suggestions. I called yesterday afternoon and they had the plant delivered before 10:30 today. I will be using them next time for birthday/mother's day deliveries. Very pleased.”

“For our wedding, we chose not to do a lot of flowers. We had bouquets and boutonnières for the bridal party, corsage for the mothers, and a few items for the sweetheart table. Everything looked absolutely gorgeous and fit our vision perfectly!!!”
“I loved working with Alex for my wedding florals! He came highly recommended by my matron of honor, who has worked with him before, and he did not disappoint. I provided Alex a Pinterest board as well as some more general inspiration — like what the groom’s tie looked like, my matron of honor’s dress, etc. — and he executed the vision perfectly! My and my MOH’s bouquets looked related by not identical, which I love, and his centerpieces really brought our reception space to life. (He also did the centerpieces for my bridal shower, and they were just as beautiful.)
In addition to his floral expertise, Alex was kind and attentive through the process, and worked with both my mother and my MOH when I was too overwhelmed with other aspects of planning. He also arranged to drop my and my MOH’s bouquets off separately from the day-of delivery to the venue so I was able to have photos taken when I was getting ready. I also deeply appreciated his honesty — I was thinking of getting baby’s breath for our ceremony space and he said he could do it but that for the price versus the time spent in the space, he wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, even though that meant less $$ for him. All in all, highly recommend Alex and his services for wedding flowers and beyond!”
