The Cookie Jar is a lovely small town bakery and hardware store owned by a friendly and incredible family. The homemade goodies are amazing, delicious, and unbelievably delicious, with many describing them as the best they've ever had. The selection includes phenomenal sticky buns, outstanding peanut butter whoopie pies, excellent lemon scones and pecan pie, very good donuts and snickerdoodles, and raisin-filled cookies described as better than Mom's. The sand tarts are so good customers can't stop eating them. Everything is priced well with nice prices. It is strongly recommended to arrive early on Saturday for the best selection. This great little shop is definitely worth the stop.

I have a major problem with the sand tarts.... They are so good I can't stop eating them! They are like potato chips...can't have just one! Got donuts and snickerdoodles too... Both very good. Didn't realize they have soups too. We will be stopping more often.
