The service is outstanding at Rite Aid. I quit using Giant Eagle because their service in the pharmacy was terrible

Didn’t realize it was going to be an all day experience to get one prescription filled… called to assure it was ready to pick up… get there, “20 minutes it will be ready.”. Merry Christmas Rite Aid!

Twice in the last two months, I've used their automated telephone refill service to request refills for my Xarelto. Both times, I arrived at the designated time to find out that not only was my order not filled, they didn't even have any in stock!! Neither time was I notified by phone ahead of time. I complained, only to be told that my account wasn't set up to receive automated calls to inform me of problems with my refills (?????), which makes NO SENSE considering that I've received automated messages concerning my refills in the past. Yesterday, I finally DID get an automated Rite Aid call concerning my refill, but when I answered the phone, no one was there!!! And when I called them back, I was told that my refill was ready, but it was only a partial refill FOR THREE PILLS!!! Since I don't want to have another pulmonary embolism, and I don't want to risk having a stroke, I am forced to find a more competent pharmacy that can maintain an inventory and keep their customers informed of any problems that might interrupt their pill schedules. I would've gone away quietly, but at no point during this ordeal did I encounter an OUNCE of accountability, and the last person I dealt with ended our call by saying "Thank you very much, have a nice day." in an exaggerated tone of voice that I REALLY didn't care for. No one should allow themselves to be treated this way, especially considering that Meadville has an abundance of pharmacies to choose from.
