First, let me preface this by saying that I am EXTREMELY particular and VERY hard to please. So the fact that I gave this business a five star review, is highly unusual.I started the process by reaching out to several upholstery businesses in the area to inquire who could replace the (insides) of my sofa cushions and E. Murphy’s & Sons was one of two that got back to me.After discussing my needs, I decided to move forward with them.Tyson’s plan to replace one cushion at a time was “ingenious”! It gave me the opportunity to be completely satisfied with his work, before moving forward. Within a week, he had all the cushions completed and….was true to his price (which was less than half of what the other business quoted me; for the exact same size).Tyson enjoys what he does and is very passionate about pleasing his clientele.I couldn’t be happier with my entire experience. I HIGHLY recommend Tyson at E. Murphy & Sons!

He has done top work for me on a fancy piece- tufted with covered buttons, box pleated skirt etc. He is usually booked way out and you have to wait. He is something of an artist.

I was referred to this small business by someone who was a satisfied customer, over 10 years ago. I tried multiple times over the past year to find them closed each time I was able to stop by. Finally, through the person who referred them, I was able to set up an appointment for my car seats to be worked on. I spoke with the owner who said that he could do the work in two days, over a weekend. I scheduled the time that he wanted me to drop off my car, (Wed Dec 30), and he said he would work on it Thursday and through the weekend. I heard nothing from him from the time I dropped off the car until Sunday afternoon when I drove to the shop to see how the work was progressing. What I saw was that my car had not even been touched, not even moved from where I had parked it. The storefront was closed and no answer on the business phone, so I got my spare keys and took my car home. My review - Unreliable business hours, poor customer service and communication, and did not keep to the schedule he stated for the work. I will warn everyone away from doing business with this place. If you want reliable service, business hours, and customer communication, find another shop.
