They are awful! If you a CD with them make sure you put it on your calendar watch your statements ( if online) because you will get nothing from them as any reminders! Not having a digital foot print and not getting reminders by mail ( like every other bank) they just wait for the maturity date to come and go. Then you get huge penalties or forced to leave it with them. When you know good and well you don't want to! They will claim they sent out everything They do not! It has happened with more then once to me and family to be a coincidence! Straight sleazy

Completely incompetent should not even be able to handle business accounts to make a long story short. They don't even understand the difference between an inactive LLC, and a disregarded entity that is an LLC. Can't give business bank accounts when you're not even able to know the little basic things recommend going somewhere else for business accounts. While my connection to the CU is through indirect mom's account indirectly, they may not consider her valuable member, so assume that may be why I am not either. Regardless, sad business practice.

I think this Members 1st has a great staff. Unfortunately, though, they are almost never open when I need them. I have had so many experiences with going to deposit money to the bank just to find that they’re closed. I don’t really understand why something as important as a bank has such limited hours. Like you guys are only open from 9am-12pm on Saturdays? That, to me, is absolutely ridiculous. There should, at the least, be another form of an ATM where you can deposit money as well as withdraw it.

Impossible to contact a person when you call. I was in the office with a so called customer representative and it took her 10 minutes to reach someone. Soooo many other banking choices out there.

They started to allow you put checks in thru there on line banking .little did we know they hold your money for more then a week . We deposited a check last Monday and it's still not in our account.Thats pathetic . It was a members check that we put in for 250.00 . It's not a large amount,it's the principle of the thing .They should stop trying to get bigger and take care of thier customers they still have . We're moving our business and personal accounts to another bank

This is the third time in a little over 2 years their was a fraud alert on my account. The first time was because I took $20 out of an ATM machine that I use all the time. Of course they didn't notify me. I found out at the grocery store when I went to pay for my whole cart of food. Now some one 2 hours away emptied out my account. I filed a report and so far nothing. This is day 11. The money has yet to be credited and if I call all I am told is you'll get a letter. I have had an account here for almost 20 years. It's time to change. Their motto should be Members last

Their system has been hacked on multiple occasions from external and INTERNAL sources. Multiple fraudulent transactions over the years. Clueless employees that graduated from mcdonalds and moved on to members 1st. Financial advisors that want you to put your money into investments that help their institution with minimal gains for you. You're better off going to any other financial institution.

This Members 1st is usually the only one i go to now since the upgrade on the mac machine. I did reluctantly have to go in to this branch location due to a weird charge on my account. The teller at the counter and the manager that took care of me were both very helpful. I normally don't go in to establishments like this because i've been treated poorly in the past because i'm a transman and well it's all downhill from there. But this branch is not like that at all. Dom was who took care of me..and made sure to say "this is a safe place". She helped me and got everything figured out as well. I can't say thank you for your kindness enough..it really does matter. I don't feel like the one star reviews from one or two years ago are accurate. All the staff was friendly, the bank was clean, and everyone was being taken care of quickly. LQBTQ+ friendly.

Members 1st unfortunately is just not that, its members 2nd, institution first. I have had my loan with them since 2019. As of December 2022 I was far ahead on my loan that my statements stated that I did not have another payment due until 11.2023. I went on the webpage as I had extra money to put on the loan and see now my due date was changed to 03.2023 but was never notified. I was told their policy changed and that now you can no longer be anymore the 60 days in advance of your loan. I was told a letter was sent, then I was told it was not, then I was told again it was. I never received anything and its certainly not want my statement stated. They also told me that my next payment will be all interest considering I did not make a payment since 06.2022. yet I was told when I borrowed the money all monies above and beyond would be applied to the principal. Interest rates are figured by a formula and the brunt of your interest is upfront. Now I am being told my entire next payment would go to interest? They are horrible. They provided no information about changes that affected my loan, midway through my loan might I add, they provided false information on their statements in regards to payment dates, misinformation on over payment going to principal. I do not know what else to say except chose another lending institution because this one is sneaky and puts its MEMBERS 2nd.

Bought a car and the dealership applied for auto loan through Members 1st. I made the purchase in June of 2022 and as of today I still have not got a bill in the mail (10/7/22). I keep getting a late notice and I call in and pay the bill off of the late notice. While on the phone with customer service they continuously request for me sign up for automatic payments and / or go online and pay the bill, which I do not want to do. So on and so on since June. So i get the last late notice I call and we go through all of the questioning to "access" my account. Then I got asked a very weird question What political party are you affiliation with? What? I decline to answer. Then the second question, are you related or close to any public / political officals? So I bite, and say yes. Then they ask what is that person or persons' names. I then decline to answer, the operator then says I am sorry then sir we can not access your account then if you cant answer those questions. I say I still want to pay my bill, you have to go online to do that if you cant answer those questions. Its for our protection. Never hear of anything like this.

I feel like "Norm" from the old TV series "Cheers". Everyone knows me after a short time of coming in. Fantastic staff. Everyone is helpful, friendly and personable. Nice selection of services too.

I've been a member for years. It seems that since Bob passed away things are not the same. It's horrible to try to get to customer service. They do not have their act together with the mortgage websites. I was misdirected a few times in trying to access a different website for my mortgage which took a considerable amount of my time. I recently went to the on line chat about a home equity or a new mortgage loan over 1 week ago. I was told someone will get back to me. That hasn't happened yet. I'll go some where else. There are other banks willing to help.

3 and a half months and they still have not gotten final home loan paperwork to the title company so that I can close on my home.... Inexcusable customer service
