Had issues with our former groomer (unreliable and kept cancelling our appointments) Petco had an appointment right away (As our dog was in desperate need of a cut) Nervous leaving her as she has separation anxiety and a rough past(rescue puppy) I can't say enough good things about Zach the groomer. Pleasant attitude, great at making our Khloe feel comfortable. He did an EXCELLENT job with her groom . When we went to pick her up she looked like a new dog! Will be using Petco and Zach going forward!!

Didn't really have anything at all I needed for saltwater it has really gone downhill since Nicole is gone. I really don't like the vibe I get when I go in from the dog trainer either she gives me and my dog dirty looks.

I was checking out at the counter today around 11:45 am. I happened to take note of the dogs being groomed through the glass. There was a younger girl grooming a golden retriever who was repeatedly pulling at the dogs tail, so hard pulling the dogs rear out of the air. First of all, whoever’s dog this is I would request your money back and never go here again, secondly, the employees might need a refresher on the proper way to handle an animal. I was utterly disgusted and this wasn’t even my dog, so I can’t imagine how the dogs owner would feel if they saw this behavior going on. And no, the dog wasn’t being aggressive in any way, and was clearly scared of the groomer BECAUSE of the mistreatment.

I decided to give Petco a try for our new dog that we just re-homed, and it was a big disappointment for several reasons.
First, I made an appointment on Wednesday using the app for Thursday at 12:30 PM. On Thursday morning I received an email telling me that my appointment had been cancelled with no explanation. When I went back in to reschedule, the same time slots were available with the same groomer. When I asked the groomer, Zach, about what happened, he said, "Oh our system just doesn't work" without even apologizing that I had to waste time going back to reschedule.
Second, I did not get the package I paid for! Since this was my first time getting our new dog groomed, I went with the "Summer Upgrade" package that includes "Tropical Jubilee Shampoo, Moisturizing Conditioner, Tropical Jubilee Spritz, teeth-brushing, nail buffing, and seasonal bandana." I didn't even realize it until after I left that she certainly didn't smell like a tropical jubilee (or anything else), and she didn't have a bandana, which makes me think they didn't do any of the upgrades at all.
I was told it would take about two hours at which I came back and browsed for about 30 extra minutes and bought some other items until I received a text saying she was ready. When I went up to the counter to get her, there was nobody there except for a woman at the checkout register adjacent to the grooming station. When I asked her for help, she repeatedly made it VERY clear that it wasn't her job to deal with grooming customers, so I just stood there and waited. Finally, she called someone and told me that the person went to the post office and wouldn't be back for awhile.
A different groomer from the person I dropper her off with finally brought my dog out 30 minutes after I was told to come pick her up. They had totally ignored my request to trim down my dog's tail (which was like the only real request I had) so they needed to take her back again to finish the job they should have done right the first time.
When I went to pay, there was a sign at the register saying that I would be required to pay a "materials fee" on top of the advertised price, which is absurd, especially since they obviously didn't use the materials on her that I paid for to begin with!
Finally, I received a text later that day setting a follow-up grooming appointment that I never asked for and certainly never agreed to, which meant I had to waste time going back into the Petco website and cancel it.
So to recap:
* Initial appointment canceled with no explanation
* Did not receive the package I paid for
* Got passed off to at least two different groomers who did not follow my one simple request
* Waited over 30 minutes past the time I was told to pick up my dog because "someone was at the post office"
* Was charged a junk "materials fee" when I didn't even get the package I paid for
* Someone automatically scheduled another appointment without my knowledge or consent
* Staff was a combination of disinterested/unwilling to help
I'll never use Petco again and will be sure to pass along the same to my family and friends. I was going to write an email to the store management, but the business card I got from the counter conveniently left off an email address. Given the quality of the service provided, I can understand why.

This is such a great store, I have a 55 gal aquarium, and the staff that works here are very knowledgeable for this area of Petco.... You all have my business...

Went in for my dog’s grooming appointment. At first, I had a few questions that I had asked in the beginning of the appointment. The girl at the front counter answered them, but did come off as talking down to me. She took my dog back to the table. I walked around the store for 5 mins and already was receiving a call from them. (My dog does not have any health issues and has never needed to go to the vet for breathing troubles.) when I walked to the front, they were already calling a vet because my dog was not “breathing” normally. Come to find out, when switching collars, the one that they had put on her was skin tight to her throat. I am not one to snap at people and I am very understanding in certain situations…. But I was extremely disappointed in the fact that my dog was being choked and voiced my concerns with the collar. I was again, talked down to like I had no understanding of how “their” collar works. I could not put my finger in between the collar and her neck. I was turned away from services since they deemed that she had “health and breathing problems” aka, she was being choked. I left very frustrated and disappointed with the way they treated myself and my dog. Fortunately, I was able to go to another groomer nearby and they took amazing care of my dog! There were absolutely no issues at all and the staff there were fabulous!

Terrible staff. Prices higher then other pet stores
