On 2/13/23 a small rock from the road left a very small spider crack on my windshield. I quickly schedule an appointment with Safelite, because my insurance company recommended their services.Upon arriving to my appointment on 2/17/23, I was greeted by a less than enthusiastic employee, who seemed confused by my presence, even though I had a schedule appointment for 9am.He asked to walk to my vehicle to see if they could “even do the work”, his words. Upon looking at the damage, he said it shouldn’t be a problem…BUT he does have to let me know that there’s a chance it could spread. I said, what are the odds of that? He said slim, yours looks like a routine job. 15 mins pass, I’m sitting in the waiting room, and he comes in and says my windshield shattered (13 inches across the drivers side).Obviously I was incredibly irritated, and asked him if this is covered by my insurance. His tone changed to one less than customer service worthy, and he told me this is out of pocket expense that I’m reasonable for. I explained how unhappy with this service I am, and if there was an actual chance of shattering I should have signed a waiver. I also questioned how this happens, when this was supposed to be a “routine” job. He tried to tell me that all windshields are different and when he placed the device it shattered. Sounds like lack of experience and poor quality work.He wanted nothing to do with the conversation and told me he was pulling my vehicle out of the garage and that I should leave.I am not one to complain or even go about posting on Google… but this experience left me shocked and angry. A company that is supposed to be reputable and well know in the U.S. should not have practices such as …”oh sorry if we shatter your glass, you’re SOL.”DO BETTER. The countless reviews online show me that this is not an isolated event…as there are people across the country with similar experiences. I will never do business here again. I will be moving forward with a small business, instead of giving my money to a money hungry cooperation.

I stopped in on Thursday 1/25/24 about a stone chip I just got in my windshield. They said they have to email my insurance company and get approval and will get back to me a day or two later. After a week, I did not hear anything and I went to another place 2/2/24. They got insurance approval and fixed my windshield within 20 minutes. Just today (2/6/24), I finally get a call from Safelite to schedule my appointment. My insurance said they never put the request through and it just went in today. The people seemed nice, but not a very good experience to get work done through my insurance.

1/19/24 I was traveling and an object hit my window. I immediately filed a claim and scheduled an appointment with Safelite for a replacement window. Dropped the car off on 1/23/24. The glass was put in and I picked up my car. No muss no fuss. They were very pleasant and helpful. The bill was sent to my insurance company and I drove off. Exceptional service. Thank you.

This is the company my insurance used, but I'm super happy they used them. I had a deadline for Monday for a new job that requires transporting people in my vehicle and it absolutely MUST be fixed by then, there were parts that were no longer made by GM but they really went through hoops to get this fixed for me.

The crack is barely 1/2" and $160!!!Crazy!! Wouldn't let me submit pictures but did give blind pricing. So are the prices by scale?? Will see results.

John was very polite and answered all of my questions. The work was very well done. I do have 2 concerns. 1. There is no way to reach the location in the event of an emergency. 2. When John called me to tell me my vehicle was done the telephone number reflected the name Catherine Bain. I didn't answer the call the first time because I didn't recognize the number nor name. I recommend that all calls from your locations reflect Safelite as the call originator.

I had a circular chip on my windshield and the crew repaired it with no issues. They were courteous and very attentive. They even went a step further and cleaned my windows inside and out and vacuumed the front. I am currently injured and don't know when I could have done that. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. You guys made my day!

Scheduled my Safelite service online, from my phone, and was scheduled for service in under 24h and was quoted 200+ for a few chips.Once I arrived, the tech immediately got me in, patched my windshield in 20 minutes, and reduced my quoted price by around $60 because one of the chips wasnt significant. 5/5 service, convenience, and professionalism. Will do business again.
