Depending on when you go it can take over 10-15min sometimes just to get through a checkout line or even self checkouts. Going in the earliest hours means usually having to work around pallets & carts from employees still stocking stuff out, which tends to block up aisles. And there's been way too many times I've seen open/empty drinks in bottles or cans just sitting about on shelves; whether they're from employees or customers I dont know, but it gives the store a disgusting vibe.Overall the store has an atmosphere of "get in & get out" from staff & appearances alike, & while that's what most customers probably want to do, it would make more sense for a business to have a "welcoming" vibe to that rather than a "we want you in & out asap" sort of vibe.

I have been shopping at this location (Walmart, Mechanicsburg) for nearly 20 years and recently experienced the most unsettling shopping event of my life. After picking up a prescription antibiotic for my husband I was heading towards the parking lot. As I approached the doors a Walmart greeter rushed in front of me and spread her arms and made herself threatening and was shouting at me that she needed to see my receipt. She kept saying the same thing over and over and I was flustered looking through my plastic bag. She kept moving side to side. She was using her long blue skirt to block me. She was so threatening that I believed I would be detained. She saw the pharmacy package in my Walmart bag and she just walked away. I have never been treated so horribly. I have called the store several times to try to speak with a manager, but could never get a live person. I tried to fill out an on-line complaint form, but the site froze and I gave up. Walmart is training their associates to be aggressive and to treat their customers like criminals. Our family is done supporting this toxic corporation.

Walmart is usually busy which is good. However, some of items I bought will not last long (example less than six months). Items such as over the counter drugs will make you think twice before buying it because some will not work. The best advice is going to see a doctor. Some of stuff on the shelves were gone before I got there which means shortage of some items. The place is usually organized, not particular very clean for say. The service is average, but cashier seems to be friendly.

Going to walmart used to be fun -- it was a neat store where you could get anything from clothing, a fishing license, have your eyes checked, get your oil changed in your car, and pick up a birthday cake for your kid. I still remember going to my first walmart in the 90s before they were all over the place and it was such a neat and fun experience.Fast forward a few decades and it's a different story -- it's like the post-office version of retail where the business seems more concerned about operating and making money than it does about the customer and their needs.I stopped in this morning to get four things -- first you have to be careful to park on the "correct" side of the store so you can get in. Then you walk through multiple security cameras while navigating around shopping carts, bicycles and whatever else is cluttering the aisles.Throughout the store, there are constant security checks -- ie: cameras everywhere. I'm an honest person and I understand lots of people aren't but I feel like I'm guilty just for driving into their parking lot.I came for four items and they had two in stock. This seems typical. There is very little I go to walmart for anymore as I despise going to this or any other walmart because they're all the same. I go to check out, they have one line open. By some miracle there were no customers in line so I guess I "lucked out" except the grumpy person was busy gathering trash and didn't see me when I walked up then when she did, she asked me to wait a minute while she dragged the trash bag from behind her register to behind another one and left it. No hello, no good morning, no eye contact so I asked her how her day was and without looking up she said, "fine."I paid for my two purchases and she closely inspected my $20 bill before accepting it (held it up to the light) and then handed me some crumpled up filthy bills in return. I was trying to ask if I could exit the store at the other end since it was past 7am but another customer came up and was asking when the service desk would open and instead of paying any attention to me, the cashier was busy telling this other person -- by screaming in my face so she could be heard -- that "she's supposed to be there by now, I guess she's late" with a shoulder shrug. Yeah, this pretty much sums up walmart -- minimal service, unkept stores, few registers, lots of cameras. I feel like walmart could invest in people -- not just to hire more workers but also to hire better ones and perhaps offer training in customer service. Target generally has nice, helpful people so I'm not sure why walmart doesn't. I get that the public are jerks and retail is hard but I blame the culture at walmart -- and management in particular -- for the difference. Target feels welcoming and friendly; walmart feels like going to an inner-city discount store where they think they're doing you a favor by being there.

I have nothing good to say about this place! All the employees are miserable. You really can't ask for help without confusing them. Do not waste the time or money going to this location. Truly need to train the staff to do better and be better...

Repeatedly called for hours trying to get info on photo printing and not once did anyone answer the phone. Is the photo center even open anymore?!

Walmart workers are mostly excellent. In store they're helpful and friendly. But delivery by Walmart delivery rates a 1 - terrible! I ordered 6 bottles of a certain type of pills. They sent me 1 bottle and substituted other items, some weren't even the same type of pills, and only 1/3 the quantity total! When I returned the unwanted items (Dec 2020) the store employee told me that a few months earlier Walmart HQ management said to substitute other items if the ordered items weren't in stock because Walmart profits were down due to items out of stock. That left it to the customer to drive back to the store with unwanted cups that were substituted for ordered plates, or unwanted food or clothes. I got my money back, and wanted to warn others regarding my predicament. We're trying to stay safe (during COVID peak death rates) by having things delivered, then they knowingly send us the wrong things because Walmart executives want to increase their bottom line.

The way this store is managing "social distancing" is absurd. Filtering people to enter AND exit through ONE entrance? This brings herds of people together rather than distributing traffic evenly using their 3 entrance points. The garden center is off-limits for some reason no matter if you try to enter it from outside or inside the store. This just reduces the overall area in which people have to shop. I think the "idea" is to have one entrance and exit so they can count and limit customers as I always see someone there fiddling with an iPad, but I have yet to see anyone get turned away. Now inside the store, they are trying to do the one-way isle thing, which is also absurd as most people aren't paying attention to arrows on the floor. The real problem here is the groups of people they allow into the store at one time. I've heard on the news that stores were going to limit it to one shopper per family, but I have yet to see it anywhere. It's hard to get down an isle and get what you need because there's not just a woman standing in the makeup isle trying to find her perfect foundation shade, but her husband is also there too, looking like a bored doofus taking up the entire isle with his cart. Or there's the family of mom, dad and 3 or more kids running around clogging up the isles. The family that shops together drops together...dead of covid. Then comes the best part: the checkout line! No matter which one you choose, you're screwed because the line is wrapped halfway around the store, twice. And nobody is 6 feet apart at this point. If anything, my cart is about to be rammed up the a** of the person in front of me. LIMIT SHOPPERS TO ONE PERSON FROM A FAMILY/GROUP ONLY!!! I don't rule the world yet, but you still need to listen to this because it will solve a lot of problems. And oh yeah, did the "senior/vulnerable people" hour get changed to all day long? I saw an elderly woman today with a sleep mask to "cover" her nose and mouth...a sleep mask!

The only reason this gets 2 instead of one star is because the people were very very nice and this happened a few weeks ago as I am new to yelp. I walked in to the bathroom and a man was making horrible noises like he was in serious peril. I asked him if he was ok and he told me he was trying to get high and for me to F***** off. I left and returned about ten mins later and he was thankfully gone. Problem was , there was human DOO DOO all over the walls and the toilet and he had left his shoe prints in the human feces so I imagine that he tracked it through the store. I went next door for a bite to eat whilst my buddy , Continued to shop. When he got to the car over an hour later, he said he had just used the bathroom and " Human P*** " still covered the stall . This is sad because like I said everyone's nice, I know it's a dirty job , but quickness is needed in these times.

I used to shop solely at Walmart. Not anymore. First let me start by saying that I can't believe that a store that sells large items doesn't have large bags. Secondly, for the last four months every time I shopped in there for groceries, they only had half of what I needed. I always ended up going to a second store. I would always end up frustrated. Lastly whenever I used the grocery pick up, if the store didn't have what was on my order they would replace it with a similar product only it would either be sugar free or fat free. If I wanted sugar free or fat free I would have ordered that to begin with. Furthermore, the store has become very dirty and hard to shop. It has become the new K Mart.

Stopping in here was a big mistake so close to the holidays. I only needed a few items that I had attempted to get at other places but could not find of course. Thought that I could do it all by carrying it, but unfortunately I needed a cart. The aisles were full and the customers aplenty. It was irritating because everything was so picked over and I couldn't help but feel like people were purposefully in the way. Every single time I wanted to look at an item I swear someone would enter my personal space and hover in front of the item I was trying to look at. It's always odd when you come to a Walmart thinking that you are going to be saving money, that is until you get to the register and finally see the damage you did to yourself. Not really saving money or time when you stop at one. I made the best of it while I was here, maybe because I had my headphones in and just went about my business and tried to save myself from being too irritated.

Photos made at a good price. Better price than Target and CVS. They are also able to take passport pictures, which surprised me.

Great deals and always has everything I need there. The only issue is that things are constantly messy and unorganized. This specific story is always packed so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

It's a Wal-Mart. Convenient but nothing special. Same long lines and rude people just like any other Wal-Mart. Why is every Wal-mart like this?
