Fun place to shop, left with quite a few items and the team member on cash register was super helpful with packing. My new laptop lapdesk is a seriously useful highlight!

I felt racial profiled as the worker told me they had to ring up my stuff but allowed the non poc next to me to ring her things up alone. Unprofessional and disrespectful

This is my neighborhood Five & Below. I always bring my nephews here to shop and they have a great time. I never have a problem at this location. But, sadly things has changed on February 23,2024 I took my nephews inside Five & Below to use there gift cards. I always let them get their own little push cart. Upon walking inside the store there were two young men standing in the front of the store. One African and one caucasian. The African boy was standing at the register and throwing a ball in the air and the caucasian boy was just standing there. We had no problem shopping I was focus on my nephews making sure they got what they wanted. The ages of my nephews are 4 and 6 years old. I did notice the Caucasian boy pop up a few times which didn’t bother me. The part that upset me and made me feel humiliated is I get to the self checkout register here come the African boy, “oh I have to ring your stuff up.” I was like okay but I have three different orders and I thought this was self checkout because all the register are self checkouts. As his ringing up my stuff I see a caucasian couple come and they just causally ring up there items and leave the store with no problem and the same thing happened again. So I ask him. “why didn’t you call back up?” You said earlier that everyone has to be ring up by an employee and I’m noticing that your only ringing up my transactions. He act like he didn’t hear me I know heard me. It’s sad that in 2024 as a African American Woman I can’t just walk inside a store without being racially profiled or harassed by being followed and singled out. I’ve never been this humiliated in my life. Also, after finishing up my three transactions I left the store but I forgot my soda that I paid for and I see the African boy looking at me outside the window and he throw my soda in the trash. He said, “that he didn’t know who it belong too.” I just looked at him and said I was the last one at that self checkout register with you. I began to say, you notice that I left it before I left the store all you said to say, “Oh excuse me you left your soda.” That’s good customer service instead of just throwing my soda away and your looking at me from inside the store through the windows. Needless to say, “I will be in search of another Five & Below because I will not take horrible treatment like the from a child and I’m at 32 year old woman.”
