I've been going to Dr. Roat for over 6 years. He's always caring and friendly, as is the entire staff at Jahnle. Dr. Roat explains everything very thoroughly. On my first visit, he explained some of the history of eye care--very informative and interesting.

Jahnle Eye Associates are excellent! I started with them a few months ago in an emergency situation having scratched my cornea doing yardwork. I saw Dr. Crispin and her calm demeanor and gentle touch put me at ease immediately. I have been back to the office since and every time the staff, techs, and Drs. are all exceptional. They appreciate customer satisfaction. I am very happy with the medical care I receive at Jahnle Eye Associates.

I have been a happy patient of Jahnle Eye Associates for over 20 years. Ongoing treatment and testing for glaucoma is successful and cataract removal was excellent. The practice is well run on all levels. Patient education is excellent and staff are welcoming and supportive.

Let me begin by saying, that this passed Thursday August 15, 2024 for my 6:45 pm appointment. The last eye exam I had was in 2020 with Dr. Edward Mekel. He did a terrific job with taking my eye exam. But this time I unfortunately had to go to another Dr. in your practice out of Riddle Dr. Erika Saucebo. I would’ve used Dr Edward Mekel again but his appointment schedule didn’t work for my schedule. So I figured ok I will try one of the other optometry doctors well very bad decision to say the least. Due to the fact I had to go to Dr. Erika Saucedo. So I was just coming in for a routine eye exam appointment nothing serious at all. So the nurse took me back to do a simple eye machine test following to ask me if I had any changes in my health or if I am having any problems or concerns with my current prescription or glasses. Next, Dr. Saucedo would come into the exam room And my first impression with Dr. Saucedo was not so great due to the fact it was the first time we were meeting she didn’t do it the proper way. So she looked over my plan of care. Let me also say this that I felt like I was being rushed from the beginning of my appointment all the way to the end. As Dr. Saucedo carried out my routine eye exam and did all the appropriate procedures tests she did a lot of assuming things which I never had a problem with Edward Mekel with this matter. So let me just say this Dr. Saucedo was making assumptions that I had a near sighted problem which is far from the issue. Due to the fact that I am far sighted so now I started to question Dr. Saucedo’s experience as a optometrist I don’t believe she was completely knowledgeable about what she was doing so she gave me a prescription for both far sighted and near sighted to add (1.25) for both close and far that would practically make me blind. Another problem I had was that when I scheduled my appointment they automatically schedule you a 30 minute window to shop and look at new glasses frames and prescriptions. I never gave consent prior to calling for my appointment or nor was I ever told about that over the phone by the receptionist. So I looked at the glasses over in optical and found the pair that I liked, so i would ask the lady in optical questions about how it would work if I just wanted to buy the frames by themselves and without prescription she wasn’t accommodating whatsoever so I sorta figured okay they don’t want my business I will go elsewhere and shop. This practice really has gotten worse and worse since 2020 when I saw Edward Mekel. So I will not be using Dr. Saucebo’s prescription she gave me due to the fact that I don’t believe I am near sighted just trying to bill my insurance more to get more money. So I will not ever be coming back to Jahnel eye associates in Riddle pavilion I will be taking my business and my care to another optometrist practice for a second opinion. In addition to that my pair of glasses I own I needed tightened so I kindly asked the lady out in the lobby in the optical shop if she could heat my glasses and tighten them for me because I noticed she had the machine to do it. But how she responded to me was so disrespectful she said “Absolutely Not I Will Not Tighten Them.” I will only tighten them she said if you bought them here and if you buy new frames and glasses from me today.
