My experience with PODS was wonderful. Communication was great. The PODS was delivered and picked up within the scheduled time. The drivers were friendly and helpful. If the need arose, I would use PODS again.

Don’t DO IT, you’ll be disappointed! First call to get it delivered was amazing experience because we were apparently lied to the entire time! Got our pod loaded only to find they couldn’t deliver it to our new home directly because it’s “long distance “ even though it’s literally an hour away! Our pod would need to be stored in their facility for two weeks before we could see it again! What a scam! Use anyone else! The manager was so busy arguing with us about how there was clearly some sort of misunderstanding with the first call. Took no responsibility nor showed any compassion or expressed any apologies. What a waste of time and money. They stink. Look at their blanket responses to every negative review. That’s how much they value the customer and their experience.

ABOSOLUTE SCAM!!! Had a pod delivered to Carlisle PA and loaded it for our move to Smithsburg MD, a whopping hour drive away, PODS insisted that because our move was “Long Distance” our POD couldn’t be delivered directly to our new home! It would need to be picked up on November 19 and delivered to their storage facility and delivered to our new house December 5! WHAT???? When booking our POD we were assured direct shipping to our new home ONE HOUR away would be no problem!!! So we spent last night unloading it and it will be removed and I’ll be disputing the $700 delivery fee we paid for a massive waste of our time!! Don’t waste yours!!!

Every part of the storage and moving process went as planned, CA to PA. Everyone was helpful, polite, and professional. Everything arrived in perfect condition. We were so happy with PODS during a stressful move. Thank you PODS!

Incompetence from start to finish!
October 22 — Initial Delivery:
I scheduled my PODS delivery for this date. The delivery driver arrived with a broken piece of equipment and a flat tire on his delivery unit. He couldn’t place the POD where I requested, almost tipped it over, and damaged the POD in the process. He also tore up my yard (which I didn’t even care about), but the POD was left rocking and unsafe.
October 22–24 — Multiple Calls for Help:
I called three times to get someone out to move it since it was unsafe. I have it on recording that I wouldn’t be charged for this service.
October 29 — Second Delivery Attempt:
After waiting an entire week, a new driver came to move the POD to my driveway. He knocked on my door and asked me to empty it first—I told him it was already empty.
He confirmed that the first driver never should have left it where he did, pointed out damage to my tree and to the POD itself, and then ran into his own issue—his machine ran out of gas. I also noticed damage to my driveway from the first drop-off.
October 29 — Finally in Place (and Then Charged Anyway):
Once the POD was finally placed safely, I checked my account and saw a charge for the move — even though I was told it would be free.
Even the second driver admitted it was not a safe location and questioned how the first guy even got it there.
October 29 — Final Straw:
I called PODS again, spent even more wasted time on the phone, and was told the charge was valid. I told them to come get their POD because I’ll be using a different, competent storage company.
They said it would take additional time to retrieve it.
Bottom line:
PODS damaged my property, failed multiple times to deliver and relocate safely, lied about a “free” fix, and then charged me anyway. Their communication and professionalism are terrible.
DO NOT USE PODS — YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

The process was so simple from start to finish. Really friendly drivers! Very professional and courteous. We had a couple questions along the way, and it was very easy to get an answer. Our place is hard to find so when The driver, Ken, was close by, he gave me a call so I could guide him back here. Dave dropped the pod off and Ken picked the pod up. They both were very friendly and professional. They can back a truck up better than I can drive a car forward. Hahaha
I would definitely use this service again, the prices are reasonable, they have all different sizes to choose from and a very nice crew.
