Food is really good. Service is slow, but maybe because of lack of workers. One waitress was there, but she did her best. Wouldn't recommend if you are in a hurry. Would recommend if you have time. Enjoyed the food.

We just moved to the area and frequently eat here. When our friends come up to visit, we take them to the Wooden Nickle.

The food was less to average. And if you have any type of allergies, hopefully you'll have on you some Benadryl or Epiphany pen. They garnish your food with slices of fruit without knowing if the person has any type of allergies. As soon as I saw the fruit on my plate, that was not even on the menu of my order. I told them I couldn't eat my meal because it had slices of fruit on it and I was highly allergic to the fruit that was placed on my order. I had said those juices of the fruit seeped to my food and I need a new order and all they did was remove the fruit off my plate, They totally dismissing what I had said about being highly allergic to fruits.I travel quite a bit and I'm always eating at different restaurants and they never place any type of fruits, nuts or seafood on a order that is not on the menu you ordered not even as a garnish. Because they are very aware of people's allergies. When I left the restaurant on my way home I had a very bad Allergic reaction from the juices that had seeped into my food. A restaurant that dismisses what the customer ask and they're spending quite a bit of money will never get my business again.I check out all of the reviews and the ones that have a picture apparently they make a habit of putting a slice of orange in everyone's food regardless what they order. That's a Big No No!!!!Whatever happened with garnishing with parsley basil scallions?

Went for a 2nd time for their breakfast on Sunday. This will become our regular Sunday breakfast location moving forward. Everything was well made, and staff was amazing. They only serve breakfast on the weekends from 8 am to 11 am so enjoy the drive and stop in for a great breakfast.

Stopped in for a late lunch after an event. It took well over 1/2 hour to get our food and there were hardly any other people in the restaurant at the time. Ordered a simple tuna melt and a cheesesteak sub. The tuna melt was hideous....not much tuna on 2 slices of bread and the cheese was not melted, cost $11, crazy. And $4 for a glass of unsweetened iced tea. A darn tea bag only costs pennies. You don't even pay that much in nicer places for iced tea. The place is dark and dingy! Looks like it has not been updated in over 50 years. Will not be going back or ever recommending this place.

Went for breakfast that they are now serving on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 11 am. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. I had the hotcakes with ham and was very pleased with my selection on my first visit. The hotcakes were amazing, and the ham was grilled perfectly. My wife had the cream chipped beef over homefries and was very pleased with her selection as well. We will definitely be going back to try the other items that are available for breakfast. This is a fine establishment situated in the square of Millersburg and should be considered a must stop if you're in the area or just want to take a drive for exceptional food and service.

We were passing through & found this place while browsing restaurants in the area. What a fantastic find! It is a beautiful restaurant. We chose to eat in the bar area due to the later hour. The restaurant area still had plenty of customers. The food was delicious & the portions were hardy! We tested out the chicken corn soup, which is loaded with goodies! Delicious! My entre included beef tips, mashed potatoes, stuffing & string beans! Wow! The other entre we ordered was turkey, pan-fried potatoes, stuffing & corn. We both got gravy on the side. We both took half our meal " to go"! It was a delightful experience! The staff & food was well worth the stop!

Waited 10 minutes for a beer, the very rude bartender said she was busy, only had two people at the bar. Hate to see her work a full bar! Was my first and last time at the Wooden Nickel...

We were in the area and decided to try it. Hadn't been there for over 15 years. Soooo disappointed! Everyone's prices have gone up lately, but $4 for a soda?! For $13 for a cheese steak (with nothing else- not even a pickle spear) I expected real chipped steak, not the pressed together frozen stuff. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't worth the price. My husband's sandwich tasted fine, but we expected more for $17 (the special). Waitress did a decent job, but it took a long time to get our food, considering they weren't very busy. Wouldn't go back.

Used to be a great place but now overpriced with slow service on an empty Friday night.
