Small local climbing place. Prices are inexpensive and the owner was super friendly. Boys climbed for an hour or so and had a great time.

As mentioned in previous reviews, Milton Rock Gym (MRG), offers a wide variety of climbing to accommodate climbers of most skill levels. For starters, MRG has some of the cheapest prices around & homes a small family of climbers with decades of accumulative experience. This small, but warm & welcoming, family embraces all that come through that vintage door with open arms & share their raw knowledge without hesitation. For example, when I met Jack (The gym owner), I asked how long he had been climbing for & what tips he would offer to a beginning climber. He said he has been climbing for 28+ years & shared his decades of experience in a few small pieces of advice. This alone made a dramatic, but beneficial impact on my performance. Furthermore, I was stuck on a V2 boulder problem. He stood back & watched me fail the same route over & over again. He gently asked if I was open to advice & I agreed. He climbed to the point of the route I was struggling with & showed me how to shift my body & change my momentum. I had struggled with this V2 for 3 weeks up to this point. After seeing & hearing Jack's advice, I was able to complete that route. It's an experience I will forever be grateful for and cherish. As you walk through a vintage door on the backside of the building, you're welcomed by a bright smile from Melissa & checked in. She will answer all questions to the best of her abilities & knowledge at any point during a climbing session. Once you're set to climb, you'll most likely be surrounded by other climbers with a vast amount of experience. You may hesitate to ask others' questions, but try your best to suppress the anxiety! Everyone who comes through that vintage door is extremely welcoming, happy to chat, answer questions, & offer suggestions on gear, or even just make a connection. You may even find yourself surrounded by other MRG members cheering you on as you grab that next hold or complete that next difficult move. You'll wonder when all of these people start watching you, but you'll feel invigorated by the support being given to you.Bottom line, this is a great gym to have fun at or begin an epic journey as a climber. The product/service to cost ratio is extremely rare in today's economic climate. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. They offer a multitude of membership options, gear & rentals, lessons, and group events.Sidenote: A friend and I read the reviews before coming to MRG. One review mentioned the gym was geared towards children. In my opinion, that's not an accurate representation of MRG & that became very clear and apparent after spending many hours there. Yes, there is many options geared towards children, but MRG has managed to efficaciously include climbers of all size & skill levels with their structures.

My family contacted this gym and sent in the deposit, at least 3 weeks ago. Hours before our family (mostly young children) was to meet here and have a exciting afternoon of fun, they called us to confirm information we already shared with them weeks ago. The woman who called us acted like she knew nothing of our family size (15) with some observers..she was extremely rude and said "we aren't doing a family reunion here!" The amount of the observers was also to much because of "COVID"..seriously give me a break! When we called to reserve the gym she made NO mention of these "COVID" rules. After my son called to complain about the extremely rude unprofessional behavior they agreed to refund us the deposit. This left my family with many disappointed children and adults as well. We will never recommend this establishment to anyone.

This was the first time myself and my wife had gone rock climbing of any sort. The young man Brad and his boss when out of their way to teach us how to rock climb as they were polite professional and I would say if you're in Milton Pennsylvania go climb a wall there!:)You'll love it! Five stars all the way.

Staff is excellent, kind, and very helpful. We climbed for the first time and had such a great experience. Looking forward to going back to this exact rock climbing gym. They have climbing for all different levels. They have special shoes for all levels and types of climbs available. I definitely recommend this indoor climbing gym to anyone whether you live in PA ( in the area) or not..Worth the travel just to go there. The staff alone makes you feel welcome and supported!!

Great rock gym, lots of different free solo routes and belayed paths. Every parent should take their kid here for the children's climb. They spent lots of time teaching, encouraging, and empowering my 5 year old daughter to overcome fear of heights and climb!

It is worth noting that the door for this location is toward the rear, we initially went to the front and believed the location to be closed until a friendly passerby happened to inform us that the entrance is in the back. I'm sure if this didn't happen that a simple phone call to the facility would have resolved any further confusion. The establishment itself has a homey, rustic feel to it, but I mean that in a good way. Staff were friendly and informative. We weren't allowed to climb on the higher walls without first taking a safety class, but with the "intro package" you can rent the equipment and receive the class and still climb all day. The safety class took about an hour or so until we were allowed to climb on our own. Again, staff were polite and informative, just pay attention and you'll get through it no problems. This was our first time at this location as well as doing this activity and we had a great time climbing the walls. I'm sure there might be some bigger or more diverse rock gyms out there but as far as looking for a fun, local activity for the winter time, this is a real winner. Will definitely be back!

This is my first negative review on trip advisor. Attended Milton Rock Gym for my nephew's birthday party with reservations. Upon arrival the woman at the desk (owner) was very rude and although did NOT inform us upon reserving the place that masks were required yet when we arrived she rudely informed us we needed to wear masks. Two family members are not able to wear masks and she asked them to leave. One did and the other (me) tried to educate about the "pandemic" and masking however she decided to call the police on me to have me removed. Upon arrival the 3 police that arrived at the rock gym did NOT have on masks and the woman was fine with that even when drawn attention to the fact. We requested a refund and she would not refund the $100 deposit. When the police were there we said we would leave when she returned the deposit since she was not allowing us to use the equipment and forcing us to leave. She reluctantly agreed to return $50 of the $100 deposit. I would NOT recommend this place. It is the third visit for me with young children and I did not feel a warm welcome either of the 3 times with the same woman (owner). This is a place kids should go to have fun not be stressed out and yelled at for every little thing they do that doesn't follow her rules. She is rude, uneducated, and unwilling to hear anything different than it's her business and she can do what she wants. She will be doing without my business ever again and I do NOT recommend visiting this place especially having a party there without written details of her "expectations" (which she left out the masking required part) and have fun adults who can speak up if needed so the kids can have fun instead of getting yelled out for not doing it exactly her way. We relocated the party to Bull Run Inn game room and the kids and adults all had a GREAT time!!! Good luck here!

Old styled Rock Climbing Gym. Both owners run the site on a day to day basis. Great place for beginners to learn as well as advanced outdoor climbers to get ready for outdoors!
