Buyer beware - DO NOT do business with this company. My wife and I purchased our home last year and Suburban was the propane provider for the prior homeowner. We called and they offered a "new customer" deal to lock in the price for the current heating season. I thought, no big deal, since the tank was already there and the price was competitive. I didn't particularly care for their 'free delivery but we'll charge you $15 per delivery for hazmat training' - just call it delivery!. They also charged $60 to set us up as a new customer so they could check the propane tank (that they own). Service was not terrible, except for the time they told us not to sign up for auto delivery and they would just deliver when we need it. So, we needed delivery on a Tuesday, I called, and they said that would be a $75 extra fee because my delivery area was the following Monday so this was an emergency call.Fast forward to this year preparing for heating season. I was assured I was set up and would get information on lock-in pricing as we get closer to heating season. They never reached out, so I called them to find out they wanted to lock me in to a $4.55/gallon price. Really? as prices are coming down? So, I called around and found out I could pay $2.69 elsewhere (with true free delivery). So, I called to cancel. That is where their true colors come to the front - their customer service is a complete 0. They told me they would come get their tank when they get around to it. They also told me I should be aware of tricks propane companies would use on me as a new customer. Oh, like the tricks Suburban used on me? Yes, those HAHA!After numerous calls to corporate to get their tank out of my yard, they did finally pick it up. The manager at the local center said I would be all taken care of and I would receive a check for the propane left in the tank.Never did they mention they would charge me $76 to pick up the stupid tank. Never did they tell me they would buy the propane bank at $2.79 a gallon. Remember, they wanted to charge me $4.55/gallon.They are a rip off and I would not advise anyone to do business with them.
