I will drive out of my way to go to this "new" store in our town. It's clean, huge, and mostly stocked. However.... WHY they closed all they self checkouts when they only put ONE normal checkout in is beyond me?!

DG coupons are suppose to stack so my husband and I always go on Saturday deals today there was a 10 off 40 deal and a 5$ off 25$ that are suppose to stack and didn’t then the manager did nothing to help the situation just said “oh I don’t know” then there were huge signs in the fall section saying 50% off buy one get one date being small apparently those signs were from a week and a half ego. Maybe take your signs down then or honor them my husband had to wait like 15 minutes for themTo figure out how to return everything. Now I was annoyed and it was hot I was waiting in the car so I just ran in to get the keys 7 months pregnant heat is no joke I heard her say “oh if the signs old I can only return them I think” my husband is kinder and more patient then me he told me sorry the remote start on our car didn’t work so I let out a remark about the store not working either so she started to talk shit on me in front of my husband 😂

*EDIT.....April 21 2024.I see that after MONTHS of ignoring my valid concerns and comments about this sub par store , the owner decided that a juvenile response to their failings would be the best route to take.No wonder such a crude , combative and useless worker is employed there.Pathetic representation of the brand DG.You need to check into this clown show of a location .I see that management complains of not having enough employees.I suggest they take a look at the staff they do have.My experiences here have varied greatly.From recently being waited on by a young brunette woman with a smile who asked if I needed help finding anything/then FOUND THE ITEM FOR ME, and the friendly young dark haired man who immediately got to the register to check out my purchases-----to the polar opposite of that .Twice I've witnessed the middle aged frumpy female manager , who is apparently on some weird power trip, act extremely rude and impatient to customers.The first time she even swore at a man who looked forty years old when he complained to her.Apparently he didn't have ID on him and was buying ( or attempting to buy) cigarettes. She lost all decorum .Not sure why she felt she needed to card someone that old.I couldn't believe how unprofessional this horrible woman was.She doesn't belong in customer service!When I recently saw her unwarranted, act rudely AGAIN to a customer , I decided to no longer patronize this store. I set my purchases down and left.I'll spend my money elsewhere.If this woman /manager ( ?) acts in this manner to guests , how do you think she treats workers ?Her type are a dime a dozen.You should and could do better in hiring.She will cost this store a lot of money in the long run with her incredibly obnoxious manner.

Staff is never there always one person working self checkouts always down/never take cash. You’ll stand there for twenty minutes if you’re to buy cigarettes because the employees hide in the back.

New store that's very clean and organized. The store is never open. The sign says they're open but the post additional hand written signs indicating they are closed due to staffing?

We go to the new store since it's well organized and easy to find what you need. With the self checkouts there is never any lines and it is a better overall experience then the store in town!!

Clean well organized. Staff is great not enough of them. Unpredictable hours make it hard to shop there. Prefer this one but they close so early I have to go to the other one.

In desperate need of staff! The company has 1 person doing the work of 3! Then all the stupid self check outs! If you would hire the appropriate staff, oh but then profits might go down a little bit. We can't have that especially when you want to build another DG 3 miles down the road!
