I had to go to America’s Best in Monroeville today and I have to say, Tracy and Rose were more than happy to resolve my issues. In fact, they went out of their way to do so and they were very pleasant while doing it.

Just wanted to say how much of a pleasure it was to deal with Tracy. I went in a week after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and since my blood sugar was so out of wack the vision in my left eye changed drastically. A few weeks later while waiting for my new lenses and living my new lifestyle my blood sugar came back down which means now my eye changed back to being normal again so I no longer could use the lenses I originally ordered.Tracy worked with me through this entire situation and took care of me in thee end. I couldn’t be happier with my visits and I 100% will be back in the future.

I recently went to Monroeville to get glasses with a outside prescription. The 1st tech was very nice, it was obvious she was new ( she need some assistance) but service was good.Towards the end of the process a manager came to help and we were confident in our order. After I got home, I realized that I ( me) made a mistake and gave them a script from before a surgery. When I called to see if they could stop my order, No one respond for days. Finally, Tracy ( manager) called and proceeded to yell at me on the phone. I ( just wanted a yes or no answer) and instead I got a ear beating about it not being their fault...( which I acknowledged in all preceeding calls) and had the rudest customer service I've experienced....in a long time.Four days after that, Tracy called back to say the same thing...then realized we had this conversation already. When I ordered my glasses, I was having them shipped to my house. I'm on oxygen and don't live nearby. Well 16 days later I called to find out they've been sitting in the store the whole time. Not one phone call. My glasses would still be sitting there if I hadn't called.I will never go back or recommend them.Tracy needs a refresher in customer service policies,

I called January 9th to see if my glasses were ready as I was told they would be ready January 3rd and had yet to receive a phone call. I was told by the representative who answered the phone that my glasses were there and when I asked when they got them in I was told that she could not disclose that information which is convenient considering how again no one called me to let me know they were there. I went in this afternoon to pick them up and was told I would have to wait to get them adjusted as there were wall to wall folks in there. I decided not to wait and just to get them adjusted at another Americas Best because even after explaining all this to the front desk ladies I was still told I would have to wait to see an optician, she apologized for the inconvenience but did nothing to accommodate which I find ridiculous as I spent almost $400 damn dollars in there. Safe to say I will not be returning to this location.

Talked to one of the dumbest people on the phone who refused to give me information about my prescription. Kept trying to get me to make an appointment to come in when that wasn't what I needed in the slightest. The stone walling about making an appointment is going to make me do this much. If I have to make an appointment to get basic information that doesn't require a doctor, prescription or anything like that then I'm going to pay someone else to get it. Don't go here. Been dealing with these people for almost 2 years now and I've had enough. I will happily pay more to not do business with these people. It's not worth the headache, don't bother. Go somewhere else even if you have to pay more.

My partner and I had appointments scheduled at 2:40p and 3:00p on a Saturday. We were a little concerned that, as we were showing up at 2:30p, so were at least 7 other customers. While our actual screenings and exams took less than 5-10 mins, we weren’t checked out and able to leave until after 5:30p. The Doctors and Angie were incredibly kind with top-notch customer service; however, no receptionists or Manager were giving folks like us in the waiting room estimated waiting times. The new, young tech did give us candy and cups for water, though. Everyone working there knew they were overbooked but the communication lacked from upper management. My partner and I have to go pick up our lenses and are a bit scared to make the trip seeing as our last visit took much of our day; otherwise, I’d order from this establishment again solely for the physicians and help of Angie.

I was really amazed by the professionalism of the people that worked at America's Best at Monroeville. Dr. Kim, the optometrist, was very friendly and helpful. She asked me a lot of questions to find the right prescription that I needed without trying to upsell their products as well as the customer service associate who ordered my glasses. She was also very friendly, nice and didn't upsell me their products, only just what I really needed the most, knowing that I didn't have insurance and was paying out of pocket. Plus, their prices and selections of glasses are pretty impressive that I found a pair that I loved and that was very comfotable that suited my high cheekbones. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is trying to find a pair of glasses for their own.

They charge for exams and then refuse to provide your prescription unless you make another appointment. I don't live close and it's extremely inconvenient with my work schedule. I haven't had to do a follow up exam for contacts in 20 years, but this time it's necessary? GFY. Guess I'm wearing trial contacts until my eyes fall out. Thanks Americas Best!

We had been going to Visonworks for our glasses. Due to a change in health insurance, we came to America's best. I learned from the doctor that my daughter's prescription was way too strong for her. And of course.....my daughter never mentioned anything to me that she couldn't see right. THANK YOU to the doctor who did her exam. We picked up her new glasses yesterday and it was a whole new world to her!

I don’t usually leave reviews. I called over the phone and explained that I have a pair of glasses that are broken in several places, and I asked if it were possible to bring them in and get a replacement pair ordered. I apologized and told the woman that I had never been there before and didn’t understand how the process worked, or what I should do. I was told very nicely that I could bring my old pair in and that they would be able to take a look at them. Upon walking in, I was asked if I could be helped by a woman at the front desk, who I believed had been the same individual who initially told me my problem could be resolved. I told the employee that I had called over the phone about the “really broken glasses”, and she just stared at me. I nervously chuckled and apologized, reiterating that I had never been here before and didn’t know the process. She asked me if I had a “script”, which I didn’t, as that was never mentioned over the phone, and I had been told I could just “walk-in”. The woman held up a paper in the air and said, “I can’t do anything without a script,” which made me felt embarrassed because I didn’t mean to simply walk-in without proper papers, or knowledge of what to do. She told me it was okay, and asked me if my prescription was recent, which I said it was, and it seemed as if somehow she was able to help me find a solution all of a sudden, before returning to the fact that I had no paperwork with me to give her. I left, incredibly frustrated, as I have glasses broken in three places, and the frames don’t fit my face- they’re the only pair I have, and I was wearing them during my visit. I have worked customer service for years, and unless there’s a strict policy where someone cannot be helped unless they have their script, it was literally, “No Script, No Service.” There weren’t any options listed to try and solve my problem, no- “Can I set you up for an appointment?”; “We can take a look at your glasses and order you a new pair today.”; not even an, “I’m sorry we couldn’t help you today”,- that was it. I drove half an hour, because I was told by a coworker, that “America’s Best Contact’s and Glasses” not only gave her a replacement pair while the glasses she ordered came in, but also provided her a solution for her broken glasses that same day, and she did not have a script either. Maybe I really am just as stupid as this business made me feel, but I didn’t know someone cannot get assistance with getting a new pair of glasses, or order a pair simply walking in off the street- unless that person goes through an eye doctor, who’s hours don’t align with normal schedules, and never answers the phone. Absolutely speechless.

This review is a mixed bag. The youngchubby female w short brown hair answered the phone and was totally clueless. I called back and set my appointment up w another. The gentleman who did my testing was great, Dr Ja was the sweetest. I was looking at frames and on an urgent personal call and she's literally staring at me(this is said brunette w short hair) I had to ask her to please excuse me...she continued. Then I was stuck w her. Ugh, I asked questions so I could decide if I would use my insurance or cash as I have a 600$. She told me I was not allowed to use my entire benefit; so I asked to sit w Angie. Angie was the best employee I dealt with. She was kind, quick and handled me and my anxiety like a superstar...give her a raise. I was then able to add on cheap pair of back ups on my insurance as well for the 600. I left satisfied until this manager called and demanded I speak w her that second and was interrogation me in a nasty voice and because I didn't have time to answer, she canceled my order.I hung up as I was busy and I'm not letting someone talk to me that way. A 10 minute call to customer service had my order reinstated and now delivered. How can you have such 2 awful employees when everyone else was fantastic...if they get fired I'll give u your 5 star. Hiring these entitled people is bad for your business....signed, a disgruntled disabled Marine. DO BETTER Monroeville location!
