I am an Avis Preferred member and use Avis a lot for work. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at an Avis! I arrived when they opened (8am) thinking I'd be able to make it to Maryland for work by noon, but because of the issues I had at this location, I had to completely change my work plans. First problem: the employee was having an issue accessing the safe to retrieve my keys. Then the machine to verify my ID (a real ID) turned yellow, so he requested a 2nd form of ID, which I don't routinely carry. Then the credit card machine stopped working and then the computer froze. There was another woman waiting in line who said that these issues happen all the time at this location. I waited almost an hour before giving up and going to another Avis location to pick up a different rental car, which meant also traveling further from home to drop off my car, so I didn't have to pay a "one-way fee." It ruined the day of work that I had planned, but I also feel sorry for the employee who I'm sure has to deal with all of these technical issues and angry customers on a regular basis.

The vehicle smelled of skunk weed with air freshener. Brakes squealed and grinded the entire trip, back windshield wiper coming off and did not work, front windshield wiper needed replaced. Vehicle needs taken out of service.

The Monroeville, PA office was the WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve dealt with from the Avis/Budget Corp! If I could give them negative stars I would but in order to post this review, I have to atleast put 1!! This office had a terrible selection of cars and ALL of them needed repairs!! The only man inside the office had HORRIBLE customer service skills and should not be dealing with ANY CUSTOMERS EVER!! This man will make me choose the competition going forward!!

The car I received was good and I had no issues. The gentleman who checked me in and out was very polite and courteous.

Have tried to reach this office to verify my car was available since yesterday. I have called over 20 times and have been rerouted to the international call center each time. This is unacceptable for a service business.

I needed to rent a car. I reserved a car with Avis online. When I arrived, they had a car for me! The car they had for me worked!!! I was able to conveniently extend the rental by one day online. A smooth experience. Location is tricky when leaving the lot.

Worst experience of my life!!! I originally rented the car from Pittsburgh International Airport when I finished the paperwork they just handed me the keys. I just stood there and the lady ask “do you know where to go” I told her I did not. She says go behind this wall and across the street and find the number. In my past car rental experiences they would walk you over to the car and go over everything like damage, mileage, gas, and all that good stuff. When I find the car the driver window is rolled all the way down which I thought was odd. The vehicle was extremely dirty and smelled horrible. Also there was damage all over this car. We were tired from our travels and just drove to the hotel and got some sleep. When we woke and got in the car we noticed that the oil change sticker from pep boys said that the oil should be serviced at 30,000 and some change. The mileage in the car was at almost 32,000. Then we say that the key chain says RISK on it! I call and they tell me to call roadside assistance. I do and they send me a text saying take it to monroville. Text says no need to wait in line your car is waiting and ready for an exchange. I get there and sit and wait for over 30mins for the front desk lady to tell me her boss says they have no cars! I send an email explaining everything and they say sorry call roadside assistance. I have to drive this vehicle from Pennsylvania back home to Florida! Worst company ever and I hope I can stop as many people as possible from having to go through a nightmare like this! Ruining my whole vacation being afraid to go anywhere of fear this vehicle is going to blow and I’m held responsible! Avis do better!

The counter person/people were very friendly and relaxed. The process was fast and easy. The car was really nice, it was clean, new and the tank was already full! Which was greatly appreciated. The price was right, actually lower than the other place I checked, and I prepaid which I feel like made everything run so much smoother. The return was fast and easy and the location was right near the entrance to the parkway, and right off of the business district of monroeville, all of which was a plus for me, picking up and returning. I'll definitely rent from here again.

Customer service was nice and the rental process was smooth. HOWEVER, do not plan on getting an Uber from here. The Uber/Lyft apps do not work for this location.

Getting the car was too slow and cumbersome in this day and age of the internet - returning after hours was not a good experience either - and the luxury car?? Not so much at all.

The Avis location in Murrayville, PA is by far the absolute worst rental place I have ever experienced in my years of traveling and renting vehicles. The lady there argued with me and refused to provide me with a clean vehicle when asked multiple times. If that were my business, she would not be an employee of mine. Her attitude towards me was terrible and unprofessional. The vehicles as presented in the pictures were not maintained up to the normal Avis standards of service. my boyfriend rented a car and upon returning the vehicle the female worker wouldn't put it in the system as returned and tried to give him a written paper receipt and even got the police called on us because we wouldn't leave the car with her without her showing it as returned in the system because if anything happened to that car it would have been on us to pay because it was still in his name. cones to find out she was doin exactly what we thought she was doing smh letting ppl return cars and giving them to someone else to use smh we got charged so much money because she wouldn't properly return the vehicle in the system smh!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! WORST ONE YET!!! he even contacted the higher ups and they wouldn't do anything smh just HORRIBLE ALL AROUND

I had the worst experience here. I had to rent a car so I had a vehicle while mine was in the garage. I went online to book a rental, pickup and drop off in Monroeville. Pre-paid to save time as I was already cutting things close. When I arrived at the location, there were over one dozen different vehicles in the lot.I entered the run-down little shack and was not only not greeted by the female inside, she just stared at me for a few seconds, leaning half out of her chair with a look of disgust and annoyance on her face. She finally asked "What?" to which I replied with my name and explained that I had a rental booked for pickup at 4PM. I was a little early, so I figured I may have to wait. Her response to me was a sniff and then "We ain't got no cars."I looked out the windows in confusion, there are cars all over the parking lot... I told her that and she replied "I ain't got one for YOU." Oh, so I guess this was a "We don't serve your kind here." moment. What kind I am that she didn't want to serve is beyond me - I'm a middle aged white woman.After some back and forth where she adamantly refused to refund my money while repeating that she "ain't got no car for" me, I eventually walked out. I had to call Avis Customer Service - twice. I was told I would receive a full refund the first time, but the refund that hit my account was for $50 less than the full amount. I called Avis Customer Service again - only to be told that the $50 "should" be refunded separately... in 3-5 business days. Absolutely horrible customer service. Avoid this Avis at all costs.What kind of company are you running here, Avis???
