So after the remodel of the place we decided to go and check it out. Before the remodel it was an ok car wash. Usually seemed to be a pretty good job. Never really an issue. Years ago there was wait time. Then it got to a point of it didn't matter the time or day. Never a wait time no matter what. Always seemed to have more people working then needed. Went thru last night around 630. Once again no wait time. Picked the $35 car wash since it had been 2 months since the last wash. It changed a bit from the remodel in the way that it's set up but not that much. Go thru and then get out to have the inside of the car done. Pretty quick process from arrival to leaving. After leaving looking over the car at the house and I noticed the tires were wiped down. The door base not wiped down nor were the mirrors wiped down. There were not as many people working as I used to see here. Maybe that's the issue. For $35 on a car wash I expect the small things to be done. If I was doing a $15 auto car wash then I'm willing to except some things not being totally cleaned. For that price it should be near perfect. The place got a make over and a new coat of paint. What didn't change was how over 5 years ago it was one of the best washes in the area. Now it is just an over priced car wash that doesn't pay attention to details. If we would have noticed these issues when we were there we would have said something then. It's been open under this new system for a while so I think they have had time to work out the kinks.

I can understand that they didn't get the pine sap off my car. But they didn't even get the bird crap off the trunk and the spilled coffee off the fender. Way to expensive for the results. Oh, and someone should tell the owners that the day-glow suds is just stupid.

Ugh! It's now known as Rocket Wash or something along those lines. Speaking of lines, there will be a few long ones, because they set this up like a drive through pay service for members and non-members. I sat for 15/20 mins. watching the guy in front of me get sales pitched to Mars for their so called unlimited $24.95 p/mo package! The sales manager or owner and his assistant spent so much time on this 1 customer that he lost a sale (me). Not once did either of them show any concern about me or the other patrons waiting, not even one small apologetic jester. In fact, they both acted like I was not even there. When I finally arrived at the check point, I wanted out, since I had to make another stop. My plans were not to spend an afternoon at a car wash and pay that much for it. As I drove away, there were no cars in the dry bay, one customer drying his own car, and the few employees standing by looking spent. My recommendation is 'don't'! Don't do it until they've tweaked their setup. Right now, because they are new and ramping up operations, they are in high marketing mode, only looking to get monthly paying customers only. Just go to the self-service and drive through bays around the corner for 50%-75% less and save your dollars until winter. It's going to rain anyway so why not wait until they get enough sales to change for the better.

This new wash in Monroeville requires you to stay in your car and go thru the car wash. Bad idea. Nobody wants to sit in their car and go thru the whole washing mechanism. Not my idea of a top flight car wash. My wife went through and the system did not properly pick up her car on the track to pull it thru. Some 'guy' started yelling at my wife telling her she was doing something wrong when she was just sitting in her car against her will, and better instincts wishing she was not in the car, but not doing anything but sitting there. The 'guy' told her she must have her foot on the brake or the car was not in neutral. She yelled back 'I don't want to be in here in the first place, and I am not doing anything wrong. My foot is not on the brake and yes it is in neutral. Finally they got the faulty system to start pulling the car through. At the end, they did a halfhearted, poor inside cleaning. Really a waste of $30 dollars. One of the 'girls' working there told my wife the my wife's car was not the first car that day that did not go through properly as expected. When some 'guy' yells at the customer and tells them they are the problem I can only surmise three things: first that 'guy' should find something else to do; second this is a poorly thought out design; third we will be looking elsewhere for a quality car wash.
