Don’t get your state inspection and emissions done here! They will lie straight to your face and say you need new brakes and rotors even though you don’t. Stay away from this place!

I dropped my 1997 chevy s10 off to them, gave them a list of issues, but mainly just needed the horn to work. 3 weeks later not even a phone call. I go there, after explaining everything again, owner says he’ll call me next week. Calls me on Monday asks if there’s a hidden kill switch on my vehicle. Red flag, they don’t know what they’re doing. Truck is not that special and the battery draining just started happening with the horn problem. Sat so long the battery died. Week goes by no other phone call. I go there the following Monday to find out more. I see now my rear view mirror is broken laying on the dash and the hood is unlatched in the lot for, I don’t know how long and the battery isn’t disconnected to save it from draining. Administrator says owner is on the the phone with the accountant. He’ll call you later. I say “No, i’m staying here until I get answers.” An hour later never comes to talk to me. I ask for my keys back, no one knows anything about my truck so they don’t charge me but they wasted a month of my time. Truck starts right up after sitting a week and I drive it home worse than when I left with them. If you’re a local they’ll most likely treat you better. I just moved here and can’t find a decent mechanic.

So I drive for Lyft and picked up a passenger at Fixed Right and he had nothing but praise for this place. A few weeks later my transmission light and emissions light came on and of course I dreaded what this would cost. I called the dealership and they said they dont fix transmissions they just replace them. Fixed Right said the same but offered to at least check to find the issue . Jim, at Fixed Right told me that all of the codes he was getting recommended replacing the transmission but because the car drove fine and there was no problem shifting gears or any noise he would dig deeper. Turned out to be a bad wire in the sensor. So instead of possibly thousands of dollars and lost time, it was $250 ish and done that day. Anyone else would have just replaced the transmission. Jim drove my car and made absolutely sure nothing else was wrong and that the wire was truly the only issue. This place has all of my and my family's future business!!!!Thank you Fixed Right!
