JCPenney Monroeville Mall has the laziest Managers, they don't care how long the lines are they will not jump in and help the cashier, they would rather the customers walk out the store than help

I called to speak with someone about a recent purchase. There is no extension for customer service so I was able to connect with someone in fine jewelry. 06/10 about 5:15 pm She was rude from the start of the conversation and acted so inconvenienced. Definitely not made for customer service. I have been a customer for many many years. She is a bad teammate and bad for business. The ladies that helped on Saturday were polite however I made a purchase and it wasn't in my bag so I was checking on that issue

Bought a few things, easy to find what I needed, cashier was very friendly and even found a coupon for me to use which saved me money.

Husband and I were looking for a suit jacket in the big and tall section of the store..one sign said Buy one get one 50% off..ask a sales person who said she wasn't sure if it applies to all the suit jackets..so not really that helpful! Would of been nice if she could have asked someone else about the promos.

Around a year ago, Brandon Winger, the manager of this JCPenney had me fired from my position at this store. He was brought on as a new store General Manager and promptly went on a tear for firing long term employees, people who had been there far longer than I, people who were there for their whole lives. He used schedule changes to force people out by scheduling them shifts they could not work before firing them when they didn’t show up on those dates. I had months of telling him and his HR associate that I could not work Sundays under my belt, but when my name was called, all those discussions I had prior went out the window and I was fired for not showing up. When I left, management was cutting as many shifts as they could and basically abandoning the floor associates to fend for themselves. Please do not support this particular JCPenney’s, the management in charge of this specific store is quite backhanded and does not care about the customers or the employees. After working for this company for four, going on 5 years, I cannot recommend either working or shopping here in good conscience.
