They deserve a negative 5 starts!!!
I went to CVS minute clinic on Tuesday, June 17,2025 at approximately 10:30 am..
I signed in on the kiosk and there was no one there so they said they could take me.
I proceeded to state why I was there, fever, urge to urinate, dizzy, weak, need to go, pink when I wiped. I was really sick, dizzy, weak and shaky. They gave me a cup in a white paper bag with antiseptic wipes and said to wipe and provide a sample for them to review. I did. I did not flush the toilet. I wiped the collection jar off and put it in the bag and handed the bag to the nurse. I turned around to sit on the bench and the nurse pulled out an unopened and sealed jar and said, “you didn’t do the test”. I said, “yes I did, come with me I’ll show you because I did not flush.” She kept arguing with me that I didn’t. She did not follow me to the bathroom. I went to bathroom and came back and she produced a white bag with my collection cup and said she found it. How could she lose it when I handed her the bag. She then proceeded to ask me what year it is, what my name is etc. I stated to her, “that I did urinate in the cup.” She then pulls out the bag with my “sample” in it when I came back from the bathroom. However, she still kept asking me what my name was and other current questions, even though she had my sample all along, I was so disgusted by this point I said my name was “Zelda Smith”. She produced my sample but was still asking me questions. I really didn’t know what she was doing. Then they took my vitals, everything was pretty normal. Then they asked me about back pain, I said nothing too bad but I live with back pain from disc’s. The other nurse, Destiny proceeded to pound on my back really hard, I mean with a fist and really hard. I am not an obese person so it hurt like heck when she was done punching my back. Should you pound on a persons back with a UTI???
I feel they were gaslighting me in regard to my “sample” which is really out of line. They only gave me 7 days of antibiotic, when protocol is 10 to14 days. The service I received was totally inept and detrimental to my health. I was very sick with this UTI, sicker than I have ever been in my life. For them to try to make me think I did not give a sample is just crazy. I actually handed her the sample cup in her hand, so how did another bag get in her hand when I turned around for a second. This is really a wrong thing to do. I was told when I called to see how much the appointment cost that it would cost $139.00. Now the bill is $180. That is bait and switch...illegal. That’s the only reason I went there because I do not have insurance. When I got there I was told there was a range. Why a range, I was told $139. And believe me, with the service I received, you should be paying me. They took a urine sample, read it( took 10 seconds) and said they would send it to the lab. She said elevated white blood cell count, blood in sample, urine was cloudy and had a bad smell. I was told after that they would charge me $160.00. And there is a separate fee for the lab. That is absurd. They never gave me any paperwork.on June 27, 2025. I went back for the paperwork a couple days later and a different woman told me the lab work was negative. I do not believe that for a second. I don’t think they sent it to the lab. I am not paying for this horrible and abusive service. I was abused both physically and mentally by these 2 nurses. I tried to pay with credit card and they said that their machines are not accepting cards at this time and they will bill me. I am not paying for this horrible horrible debacle.

I was very satisfied with the experience I had at Monroeville location on William Penn highway. The nurse practitioner was very concerned, warm, friendly, helpful and and answered all of my questions. I would recommend this location!

Very friendly staff and even though it was just a covid booster, they took time to listen about my health history and it really showed that they care.

Didn't have an appointment, but was able to be seen within 5 minutes. Got my diagnosis and prescription very quickly. I'll be stopping here rather than urgent care, which always has a long wait, from now on.

The nurse had absolutely no idea how to take blood! She tried multiple times but was unsuccessful. So I ended up going to quest and they got it on their first try. How does a nurse not know how to take blood?

There was no wait. The NP Michelle was a consummate professional and I was amazed how easy the visit was and how respected I felt! I guess it was partly amazing because of how bad I felt after the UPMC Urgi Care had just sent me away because I was on Medicare only. Not just that but because I complained and needed to call home then went back in, they were having a good laugh. I don’t know what they were laughing about. But it felt like they were adding insult to injury. I did find my Cigna card and they started to go through their admit process. Bu then I wanted nothing to do with them. Thank goodness I found MinClinic Monroeville. There was no admit process that took up time. I was treated so well I asked if they take people as Patients. Thanks CVS you have a great system and a wonderful staff!!

I am completely disgusted with healthcare if I'm being honest. I work in the medical field and I understand insurances can be difficult but we ALWAYS look up an insurance and VERIFY that we are IN NETWORK prior to performing any testing... they told me that my vaccines were free but must not have actually verified first because I was indeed out of network and am now responsible for the whole bill. Had I gone to my PCP it would have been free for me but that was never relayed to me. Customer service was no help. They told me that because the service was already rendered I am now responsible for payment. The only reason the service was performed in the first place was because I was told by THEIR STAFF that it was covered. Very unprofessional. I will not be back.

I would give it no stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment online for 3:20pm. I received an email saying wait in designated parking lot and I will receive a phone call when they’re ready. 20 minutes later no call. I called the store and was told I have to wait for them to call. An hour went by I called again and was told they are agents and that I would have to call someone inside the store. I went inside the store and informed them I have been waiting a long time. They Asked me has it been at least two hours. I said yea and they told me they are different from minute clinic and gave me a phone number to call. Fed up with these unprofessional people I went to Med Express and did a walk in. Unfortunately I had to pay Med Express I was hoping for free testing since my funds have been low lately! CVS waisted my time, energy, and gas. I’m assuming staff left work early. Maybe there isn’t management around to oversee what these people are doing but I can’t believe how unprofessional they are.

This place is inside/blended with the CVS store. They have lobby, 1 small room (I was there for Covid Vaccine), and an exam room. I felt not really comfortable in their lobby because its wide open to the store. But anyway, their staff were friendly and really nice. I just need couples minutes to finish my procedures there.

Horrible! I had step 1 of my TB test required for work administered Thur. They HAVE to be read before 72 hours and the 2nd part administered at this time. Now late into Saturday I get an email stating they canceled my apt for the TB test and my Covid test. Now I am unable to get an apt anywhere else on such short notice and for a Sunday at that! Very unprofessional! Would not use again and definitely would not recommend!
