As 1st time visitors to the city of Pittsburgh for my husband's birthday celebration, our experience in Shoe Dept. Encore located in Monroeville Mall almost blew our entire weekend. We were asked to handover our shopping bags from previous stores before we could look around their store. My husband & I are familiar with retail security/ loss prevention methods and entertained their request without problem. As we preceeded to shop we noticed WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO BAGS WERE ASKED FOR!!! We observed multiple customers come and go during our visit and NOT 1 was asked to render over their bags, ONLY US!!! We opted not to purchase from this store and never to recommend this store to anyone. We don't know the reason for being singled out upon entry nor do we want a BS excuse for your salesman behavior. Whether racism or placism, all blood is red & all money is green. This cautionary disrespect will be shared to the masses.Evangelist Wendy WhiteBaltimore, MD
