If your money was transferred from TD Ameritrade to Charles Schwab take your money out and run. If you stay add a successor to account. Because if you pass away like both my parents, Charles Schwab will do their best to withhold your money from your loved ones. I am one of two sons. I also am the executor of the estate. It's been over a year and I'm presently still dealing with much larger institutions one of them the US Treasury department. They are presently in the process of transferring 100 times the amount being held by Charles Schwab and the surrogate estate paperwork is just fine for them. But for Charles Schwab holding just a few thousand dollars, I'm being told my paperwork is expired!! which has no expiration date printed on it. What's changed? It's a legal court document! Our parents are still passed away! We are still the sons of the inheritance! Again every other financial institution is making it such a smooth transition except for Charles Schwab.. Almost daily arguing with Audrey Atwater to the point where it's getting exhausting. I know we won't be investing any of our money here for what she has been putting us through. You replied back saying call this number, I did and while talking I heard the Ugh noise while being hung up on so anyone reading this you know to take your money and run far

"The person at the front desk" got a bum rap in an earlier review. I've come in to this office a few times over the years, usually with specific questions so complicated that they would make your head spin. I needed to be shown things in documents and have them explained to me. I needed to talk to a live person face-to-face.This has happened three times in the past couple of years. All three times, James was at the front desk, and he is without a doubt the most superbly informed person I've ever met at a front desk. He was knowledgable about every form and tricky situation I presented him with, and was able to clearly explain some very complicated procedures step by step. And all with good humor.Earlier in life I worked in the securities industry, so I can appreciate the value of someone like James in an office. In this age of internet transactions and phone-based customer service, it's time-consuming to have to drive to an office to get something done, so I want that time to be well-used. A trip to this Schwab office has always been worth my while, mainly because of James. This is a sincere, unsolicited review. I just wanted to set the record straight. Occasionally other people are at the front desk. I don't know who was there for that earlier unhappy reviewer, but I stand by my repeated experience.

I am very disappointed at the service I have received since my financial advisor left. Things they said they would do are not getting done. It is 4.20 pm and no one is answering the phone.
