The staff here at this Mt. Pocono location needs to be trained. If you alienate the customers what job will you have? Retail is hard. You can't please everyone and personalities will inevitably clash. I get that, because I know I'm not myself when I need caffeine or food. However treating certain people like thieves is wrong. Out of three customers ready to check out who do you think had their purchase practically snatched from them? The older caucasian woman? The middle aged hispanic woman? Or the middle aged black woman? Some might say I'm being dramatic. Was I problematic, and then decided to leave a bad review? No. I was pleasantly greeted as I entered, so I greeted the associate right back. We smiled and went our separate ways. I was quite happy. I love 5 Below. My experience only sours when it was time to check out. Shop at this location with thick skin otherwise your feelings will get hurt.
A note to corporate (if they even read reviews).
Bring back normal registers and leave self check out to other stores. Since theft must be a big concern. That way all customers checking out get the same treatment.

Older woman in there who I’m assuming is the manager is beyond rude. Basically screamed at my niece at the self check out. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!

Rude staff. They eliminated self check out and you have to stand in line for an employee to scan your items. Not only that, an employee whom was sick was rubbing her nose while scanning my items. Which was gross and unsanitary. Other Five Below let you scan your items without an issue and they exchange items without receipts.

Good selection of stuff in a smaller store. Free parking in the attached parking lot. P a little high since not everything is $5 or less.

They force the employees to greet you at the door and if you don't select "Yes" on the card machine when you check out if you were greeted or not. If you hit skip, which most people do, it counts as a "No" and the employees are punished. That's some scumbaggery from the company and a horrible policy. Cheap earbuds be damned if they treat their employees like that.Most people skip cause everyone sick of the questionairs.Ima skip this franchise till that abusive policy is gone.

It's a nice new store, but the same old five below garbage. Overall there's some good finds, differently not going in there looking for the greatest experience or the greatest items ever. I'm going to personally avoid this one cuz the manager doesn't seem like a great person. Not cool .

I was lucky enough to be there for the grand opening. The entire staff including management were very friendly & professional. The store size is pretty decent. And there's a pretty good variety of products. This is a good addition to the neighborhood ?
