“Back in the day, Callie’s Candy Kitchen in Cresco, PA was the place to go. I remember my mom taking us every Easter to get our picture with the Easter Bunny there. Such sweet memories. ??

They even had a pretzel factory back then, and Mr. Callie himself would demonstrate how they made the candy and pretzels. Watching it all happen was part of the magic. Sadly, Mr. Callie has since passed, and the pretzel factory section has closed, but the memories are still so special.

Fast forward about 20 years ago — my cousin actually played the Easter Bunny! So of course my sister, my other cousin, and I went and got our pictures taken as adults. We just couldn’t let the tradition go. ?

And now here we are today… I brought my own kids to Callie’s Candy Kitchen and watched their faces light up the same way mine used to. The store is a bit smaller now since the candy-making viewing area is closed, and they’re just starting to decorate for Easter. The Easter Bunny has been “too tired” to stop by the last few years when I asked ?… but even though some things have changed, one thing has NOT —

That chocolate is still melt-in-your-mouth, absolutely AMAZING. ?✨

Some traditions evolve… but the sweetness stays the same. ?”

“I wish there was a country kettle where I live. This store is amazing. The selection of candies is the biggest I've ever seen, barrels and barrels of fresh candies that you can pick and mix.
I should have bought 3x as much candy as I did.
Fantastic place to purchase a gift for anyone.
I can't wait to be back for more.”

“The manager reached out to me the same day I posted my review to try to refund me the excess I was charged. She said that I was overcharged and that the cashier rang up the item incorrectly. The refund cleared a few days later. ***Original Review: This shop does false advertising and has expensive gift wrap. One of my selections was a bag of chocolate from the discount section with a prominent 50% in front. There were many of these identically labeled bags there. At the register, the cashier told me the packaging used meant an additional $2 charge for “gift wrap” and that they put out the chocolate yesterday. Upon reviewing my receipt, received no discount for this item. Also, the “gift wrap” is disappointing for $2. The chocolates were bunnies that were probably from Easter. I made this purchase in mid-May.”
