If I could give this clinic 10 stars, I would!Dr. Reitz was our Veterinarian in the Harrisburg area for a few years before going to Muncy. He was a part of a large animal hospital down here, and we were very fortunate to have him. We are very picky pet patents and want only the absolute best for our furry kid. (I am not kidding. We will only settle for the best)If you are reading this, perhaps you are looking for a good veterinarian. Look no further! Dr. Reitz is not only a genuinely wonderful human being, but he is also very knowledgeable and extremely caring for the pets and their parents.Just last week, a local vet told us that our baby girl might have cancer because of a fast growing lump on her face. Even though the Harrisburg area has dozens of veterinarians, this was a “no-brainer“ for us. We had to find Dr. Reitz!! We would trust nobody else with the life of our baby girl! We found him via Google and after one phone call, we had an appointment for a few days later. The day of the appointment came. We drove over two hours, and approximately 100 miles to see Dr. Reitz. We were greeted by staff that were simply amazing! Our vet tech was wonderful! When Dr. Reitz entered the room, we were so relieved. He took the weight from our shoulders. He diagnosed our girl and almost immediately did surgery. It was a long day for all of us, but he was right there by our side, as was his team of Angels!Thank you to everyone for taking good care of not only our pet but us. You were all so patient and understanding with us!For people reading this. I’m not exaggerating with anything that I have said. Dr. Reitz is our hero! I am in the “people” medical field. There is a lot to be said for customer service in the medical field nowadays. Dr. Reitz And his staff could write the textbook on how things should be done.

I have been going to this vet for about 15 years. I can't even tell you the tens of thousands of dollars I have spent in this clinic over the years with my 5-6 cats and dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if it was close to 100k. I took my dog for blood work and brought my other dog along for a nail trim if they had time. I waited almost an hour to be taken back. They charged me 55.00 for a nail trim on my dog because he wasn't on the schedule but didn't tell me it was going to be that much until afterward. When I got the bill, I went back in to have them explain to me why I was charged a 5.00 "safe drug handling fee" for each dog when neither of them were given any meds. Tia at the front desk went back to ask the doctor and came back and told me, basically everyone gets charged that for each pet every time no matter what and when I asked what it was for I was told "the office manager will call you tomorrow." Then I asked why was I charged for an "ultrasound guided cystocentesis" on my dog when all that I was told was that she was getting blood work. I was told, it's part of the senior wellness workup. That's fine, but I never consented to that, I can very easily get a urine sample from my dog without having to stick a needle in her. I asked if the doctor was going to call me tomorrow with the results and Tia told me that he would if he wasn't busy. I asked, if he is busy then when can I expect a call with the results? Tia told me, "I can't predict the future." So, I'm hoping I get the call with the results that I paid 500 dollars for but I am nervous I won't. It's so disappointing that after being a loyal client for so long and spending so much money there, I can't even ask questions about charges without getting an attitude and being treated like garbage.

If i could give a zero i would. I was very unhappy with the "help" I got. My dog started bleed from one side of his nose on thrusday night and there were no emergency place open. When I called and explained what happened they felt that he didnt need to be seen but gave use some Chinese medicine i never heard of and didn't tell us much about it. We gave him one of the pill then he started acting werid. So on Monday i called them back and they said the medicine can have side effects but they didnt feel like he needed to be seen he will be fine. Then i started calling around and everyone i spoke to told me he need to be seen asap. So i took him to another vet and found out he has VERY high white blood count and they need to also do a CT scan of his head to rule anything else out. I called them back and told them what happened and ask for a refund on the medicine that was point for me to get and they said no. I am very unplease how they dealt with all of this and will be going to another vet.

The staff is friendly BUT the prices are outrageous! My dog had a cough and they gave me an estimate of 1300.00 for blood work and meds. Now my dog has a chipped molar and could use a cleaning. The quote for cleaning and a tooth extraction 2256.00 up to 2575.00! 1300.00 if that quote is injectable medications!Needless to say I'm looking for a different vet!

First time using the new doctor and it went very well. He should fill Dr Lewis's shoes with now problem. Staff was great and very welcoming and the tech and new doctor gave me multiple options on my pups situation. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

I started at this facility with Dr. Lewis, and I can't say enough good things about him. Several weeks ago I had one of my dogs in for an appointment as he was having trouble with one of his legs. I had to sign a paper, as the estimated charges were almost 600.00 dollars, which I signed and paid. What did I get for this, a five-minute exam and an X ray. I never received a call back to tell me any results of the orthopedic exam or X ray, and this has been several weeks. I guess the almighty dollar is most important to this facility, because I still don't know what may be wrong with my dog. I did leave a message, and no one responded. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I very rarely leave a review for anything, and never one this negative.

Very friendly staff, but pretty pricey to get anything done there. After they changed the vet there alot of the prices raised. Which is understandable but to fix a male cat they quoted us $453 and there was nothing optional you could take off. I just got a male cat fixed at a different vet and they only charged us $120.

I love this practice. My dog, George even got to see Dr. Lewis again on our last visit! The staff are really great and do their best to make things as easy as possible for pets and their families.

One of my daughter's birthday gifts 2 years ago happened to be a cat. Her cat escaped outside 3 days before her birthday this year in August. After a month or so, postings on- line asking for help and scouring the neighborhood, we purchased a new kitten. About 2 weeks after that, the cat came back lol. Because of course. She also came back with a case of round worms. When I called the place to ask about purchasing medication, they initially told me that;" since they've never seen our cat as a patient, they wouldn't be able to help out with that." They relented, and allowed me to purchase the medication. So I was very thankful for that. Very friendly front desk employees. And would recommend for all your pet needs.

Very good. The only thing I would have taken back by is when they gave our cat his shot they took him in a different room to do it. Staff is very friendly and we were able to get a appointment rather quickly even as a new patient

Short version: lackadaisical care, poor communication, and complete lack of urgency and our 5 year old Corgi was dead 36 hours later. Do NOT go to Muncy Vet for serious matters.Long version: Wednesday 10/12, our Corgi was sick, throwing up and not eating. Went into the office, an x-ray was taken and 'labs' were run (more on that later) and we were told she had Pancreatitis. Sent us home with a painkiller and anti-vomiting medication, neither of which seemed to do anything. We followed up Thursday 10/13 and were told, very nonchalantly, "oh just try to mix up some rice and chicken to try and get her to eat" (after reiterating that she has been vomiting nonstop, hardly keeping water down and not eating at all -which had already tried rice/chicken and we communicated that). Friday, called back in the morning expressing there was no change and conditions seemed to worsen, and we were told 'well we're only open 4 hours today, better take her to State College for emergency care.'I called Wolf Run Vet (who I usually take my labrador to) and they got her in for an emergency appointment immediately. During her appointment at Wolf Run, they reviewed the records sent over by Muncy Vet. They said, and I directly quote "we cannot believe that they did not run a full blood panel" and "she should have been in 24/7 care immediately." At this point, it was too late. Her kidneys had failed, along with several other organs on their way out. She was dying, and therefore had to make the decision to say goodbye. From start to finish, the entire line of communication, service, and care was completely unprofessional and showed a complete lack of urgency in the situation - and not ONCE was it conveyed how potentially serious her condition was. We assumed, based on the fact that they are labeled as a "veterinarian", we knew what they were doing. We assumed incorrectly and we have now lost a loved family member. We received a follow up from the practice manager at Muncy Vet who also reiterated and agreed with how poor of service we received and evidently the vet who did see us is losing her contract (supposedly) due to the situation.I can completely understand that maybe even top notch care would not have saved Snickers. We don't really know what the cause of death was, but my gut tells me that if anyone from Muncy Vet put in a little effort and showed even a sliver of urgency - we probably wouldn't be in this situation. I have spoken to several others about the situation and since Dr. Scott Lewis is no longer at this practice, they have also experienced very poor service and care for their animals.I have asked my girlfriend to move her other dog over to Wolf Run, where Snickers did receive the care, gentleness, and treatment i'd expect out of ANY vet - albeit too late. I highly advise anyone reading this to evaluate your relationship with Muncy Vet. I will never take another animal there again.

We've trusted all of our pets in their care. They are kind, compassionate, offer comprehensive care and are good at what they do. They have gotten us in for emergencies and have been there at end of life for pets.

I recently had to say goodbye to my friend of 12 years. Trixie was a super dog and started when Dr. Lewis was the vet. She had to have some surgery and I hadn’t realized he left. I was a bit surprised when I heard the voice of a different vet. The first time I met Dr. Reitz in person Was when I needed to put Trixie down due to her cancer. The compassion this man showed me, my children, and my dog will not be forgotten. The staff was amazing and very supportive. I have been a client of this vet since 2007 and I would recommend them to anyone.
