My brother recently died in the emergency room at UPMC. Before being intubated, he asked that someone take care of his dog. The hospital called Wolf Run, who sent someone to the hospital to pick up his house key; went to his house to pick up the dog, food, and toys; took the dog to their boarding facility, and called me to let me know they had the dog. All this for a stranger who wasn’t even a client. When I drove in from Ohio the next day to pick up my brother’s dog, they refused to let me pay them. Simply remarkable compassion. I can’t recommend this team highly enough. Thank you, thank you.

We were treated with such compassion and kindness as they assisted us in helping our boy into heaven. The sweetest girls… I can’t say enough good things about the process from getting us in quickly, the procedure and the aftercare. Thank you ?

The lack of compassion here is strong. When I asked the vet tech a genuine concern about my dogs behavior, she laughed at me and mocked my question before relaying it to the vet. It was unbelievably rude and truly disheartening to go through when I came in concerned about my dogs current health. Seems like they just want your money more than anything. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

As Many many people have also said...The male vet is awful! He never changed old nasty bandages on my dogs broken paw. He charged us for a metal splint that came right off as soon as we got home and there was no metal splint inside! That's how we discovered the bandages were never changed from the time before. My dog got a horrible infection in her leg from this. They will all tell you different and conflicting stories (lies) to keep you calm, but noone actually tells the truth. The girls at the front desk are snotty and extremely rude. Something isn't right with the male vet. He never once apologized or tried to make it right. Amy promised she would see my dog the next day, but when we went in, conveniently she had to go somewhere and wasn't available. Another new vet bandaged my dogs paw, but she didn't put a metal splint in it either! And she never said she wasn't going to use one. There is zero communication. My female German Shepherd had a spay and stomach tacking done, also by the male vet Nick (I think is his name) and she hasn't been the same since. She doesn't act the same and she leaks poop now, and never did before he cut her open. I miss the old Wolf Run before greedy Amy took over! Wolf run was the best vet around and very small town, family oriented.
Everyone loved them. They had a wonderful reputation. Now since Amy took over, All they care about is money and lying about anything they can't explain or to cover up a mistake. Worst place ever!! I don't know how these people can still operate with such horrible tragic stories.

Docs and assistants are very knowledgeable. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Prices for care are reasonable. Medication refills are a breeze using the online refill form.

We have used Wolf Run for our 4 legged family members since we moved into the area in 2017. I have never heard so many great recommendations from the community for any other services, in my life. Excellent with their clients as well as the owners. They took especially great care of me and Maggie (my ❤️ dog) when we found cancer in her jaw. With 4 surgeries, they got to know, and love her. I would find her under the front desk, resting and being petted on my arrival. July 1, 2019 they opened the new building. I called early because my Lab, Abbey, had a seizure. "Bring her right in, we will see her." After they saw her, we went home with meds. She had another 5 hours later, with deficits. We ended up as the first to use the new euthanasia room. They were so supportive. One week later, we opted to stop Maggies treatments and say good-bye to her. The second ones to use the room. They were all in, saying good-bye to her as they had known her so closely. Two of the staff who were not there in Monday, called the next day to say they loved her, she was an office favorite. There were nice notes on the card for Abbey, but the card for Maggie was full of heartfelt, personal notes. I have always had dogs, usually more than one, (or 4) They understood my pain with Maggie and several stayed with us during her passing. I will go nowhere else for my 4-legged family.

Ok staff. They are very picky about pitbulls I think. I have a handsome blue nose.pitbull and the doctor that sees him is afraid of him, and they refuse.to trim his nails and charged me $30 one time for nail service trimming due to "three people holding him down" when the trimming price is only $12. Ridiculous. Only reason I keep going to wolf run is because it is close to where I live. Prices are OVER PRICED. they also quoted me to have my dog fixed for $1,080 when I went somewhere cheaper and got it done for $230 and the other place I went to for his surgery also included the nail trimming, microchip, and collar cone as well. Wolf run is all about the money.

We went to a competing vet “hospital” first when our dog ate something she shouldn’t And had an intestinal blockage. We were quoted so high for “hopeless” surgery at the other place. We would have been charged 3x at that other place with minimum hope for recovery . Didn’t like the lack of compassion of that hospital , barely looked at by vet there… so we Took the her home and waited till morning for a second opinion. Bright at 7 am, This place saved our little one’s life, and did not take advantage of us, her prices were reasonable compared to the competition, and the dog is alive and happy today. They had amazing bedside manner and were not just in for the money. Lil one actually loves staying at the hospital and their Boarding facility also, she gets all excited when she’s there when she goes now. We thank you for your compassion with our dog and hope nobody ever go to the other place. Came Here first! We wasted money at the other place, never again!

A couple of weeks ago, our dog got really sick out of nowhere. Bloody stool, vomiting, peeing in the house. I called our vet - only to be told there was no vet on staff that day (a Tuesday, not a weekend or holiday). Then, I was told to "call around" to find a vet that could help us. No offer of assistance. Nothing. It was early afternoon, and the emergency vet in Watsontown didn't open until 7pm. I called Wolf Run Veterinary Clinic, and within 10 minutes, they had taken my info and some info on our dog and had us scheduled for an appointment that afternoon. By the time we got to WRVC, our dog had a significant fever and was working on a case of pancreatitis. The vet and vet tech were amazing. They kept us updated the entire time. They made recommendations but didn't push anything on us. Our dog ended up being kept at the vet for treatment that probably saved his life. I can't say enough good things about the care our dog received - he is back to his normal, happy self and we are now proud patients of WRVC!

To all the people who had bad experiences at wolf run, i feel your pain. They terminated my pets care because I questioned them about my pets care when they messed up on medication. Am i so wrong for loving my pets and wanting the best care? They call me one day and say give one pill morning and one at night, following day, call and say give one and a half. What the hell, don't they know what I'm supposed to do? I pay good money for my pet's care, that is what i expect, they are supposed to know, I'm not a vet. Very disappointed. Looking for new vet care.I would give them a zero if i could post without.

We are told that we need to drug our dog because he is aggressive. He has never been aggressive with the female vets. Just with the male. And there was no biting involved. No growling like he was going to bite. Also, they told us because of not getting long with other dogs. Nope. He loves other dogs. I have always recommended wolf run. Not anymore. I'm not drugging my dog for no reason. Obviously, there is a problem with the male vet, since my dog has no issues with the owner or the other female vets. He doesn't have any issues with female techs. Their loss not ours
