If basic is your thing, this is it. However, for the price, this place just isn't worth it. Parking on site is challenging because trucks from workers staying at the hotel clog the parking lot. Get the trucks out! The food was just shy of terrible, the hotel ran out of hot water, and the bed was unbelievably hard. The hotel was clean, though.

NOT PET FRIENDLY !!
Expedia listed the property as “dog and cat friendly”.The properties own website states “pet friendly”. Buried way at the bottom of the properties website it states “dogs only”
The desk clerk “Georgina” or something like that was extremely curt and rude, and repeatedly was rolling her eyes as I asked questions. Extremely unprofessional. I’m certain her attitude had more to do with the color of my skin as opposed to anything else.
Even when I showed her the Expedia listing. She said that’s not her problem. She needs to be fired.
The front entry was covered in huge clumps of mud. The parking lot is extremely small. The adjacent commercial lots had a sign stating no truck parking, will be towed. If you have a trailer. Do not go here. In fact…. Just book another hotel. There are plenty in the area. This property should be scored a zero.

I chose this hotel after reading reviews and comparing prices of all 3 in the immediate area and was not disappointed. The front desk person at check in was very friendly. She even commented the next morning on something from our discussion at check in. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Ask for an even numbered room if you want to keep an eye on your car in the parking lot.The breakfast selection was plentiful and fresh and the dining space was clean. The attendant was very friendly. We went to a show at the Pittsburgh Improv, located within the Waterfront shopping center, and we chose to walk there from the hotel. Not too far and much better than driving with all the holiday traffic.

This will be my last time to stay here I have previously stayed at this hotel on five different occasions And this was by far the nastiest I have ever seen this place I’m going to change my review from four stars to one The night clerk was very friendly and very helpful But our room was nasty And there were mushrooms growing in the carpet in the hallway And the room also smelt like cigarettes smoke, and had stains all over the wallpaper. I’m sorry, but I will just have to go back to the Holiday Inn at the airport We had a nice clean room. But some of the maintenance around the hotel itself could be kept up a little better.

I was so impressed by the hotel staff here. I probably interacted with 10 different employees who all seemed to truly and genuinely care about our guest experience. They all appeared to love working there, they all smiled, they went out of their ways to be helpful and offer assistance. I was very impressed. They all interacted with our 1 year old and made her smile each time.Hotel was nice, although the construction was a little messy, but it was the wonderful staff that made this a 5 star visit and worth returning in the future. Well done!

Great location with clean and modern rooms. My daughter commented that the lighting in the bathroom was probably the best she’s experienced at a hotel. Plus every surface was clean and bright. The free continental breakfast was better than most other lodging establishments. Plenty of variety and hot options. When you exit the lobby, you are within steps of the parking lot of many retail establishments. Within 2 minutes you have access to plenty of restaurants to choose from. It’s an easy drive to Downtown Pittsburgh including both stadiums and the arena. The staff was attentive and friendly. Save your money and stay here.

Horrendous customer service from the front desk upon checking in today. Rude to me rude to my wife. Rude to people over the phone. Took a call while I was standing in front of her rolling her eyes and making nasty faces. This girl was so condescending and is clearly in the wrong profession. She’d make a better parole officer with the way about her. Off to a real awful start here at this hotel. GM should be actively looking for your replacement lady bc your attitude is the worst.

My apt was being renovated and I needed a place to stay because I could not tolerate the dust and debris due to health reasons.I booked a stay online and my money was taken but when I got to the hotel I was told by this black woman she said the hotel could not rent me a room because I did not live outside a 30 mile radius. No sign visible stating this in the hotel or online. I h ad to call the credit card company to get my money back.Oh sure they take your money quick and slow to give back. 0.001 STARS but had to put 1 to write the review. I would not use the company’s hotel if I lived on the moon after that nor would I recommend to out of town relatives or friends after that. Holiday Inn do better !!SmdhNoteworthy details: No sign in place that you have to live outside a 30 mile radius posted or visible in hotel

The staff are fantastic. Incredibly compassionate. Ryan was at the front desk when my daughter and I checked in. There was a problem with my reservation. I explained to Ryan that we wanted to stay there due to the availability of an accessible room which my daughter needed to recover from a medical procedure. Ryan quickly resolved the problem by explaining the situation to the manager, who agreed to honor our reservation. All of the front desk staff that I interacted with were very kind. One of them even helped me bring breakfast to my daughter in our room. Absolutely the best service that I have ever received in a hotel.

Excellent staff, good location and that’s where the positives end. It has a mildewy smell and after one night I had runny nose that was gone soon after I left the hotel. So it’s something in here that will make you sick, the halls look terrible. I’ve been to hotels under renovation and this just seems to be in bad condition and not a well thought out plan, it shouldn’t look so bad. Breakfast has lots of options but not very good. Too much money! It’s hotels very close and cheaper ones, but not worth being sick regardless.

Don't do it! We are here for three nights. There's a difference between under construction and under conditions. ? The photos are our first night. We were told they were booked. They moved us downstairs around 5am because the fumes were so bad. So much for no rooms. New room much. Much, much better. Just smaller. This is an Express. Love the location, taking out grand babies some place.Noteworthy details: Very much under construction and under the weather. They put us here for 3 days. We requested to change and they accommodated.

They could not even pay me to spend another night in this horrible hotel. Everything about this place is wrong. Please spend your money elsewhere and take my review seriously. This hotel is under renovation, even though that is advertised no where. The parking lot has a huge construction dumpster, which has been sitting there over 2 years. It takes up a large chunk of parking. Our room was seriously just awful. If I can include pictures, I will. The walls were just sanded and prepped to have worked done. There were white blotches of putty, getting ready to be primed. There was no molding on the bottoms so black mold was literally growing in the corner. We tried to stay out of our room as much as possible. Trying to get a restful night was impossible. At 6:22 am the fire alarm proceeded to go off for 5 minutes. We went to leave the room and once we left, the alarm went off and our keys no longer worked for some reason. We had to go downstairs to try to get another key where she made us a new set. She did not activate correctly and we were still locked out. We returned to the desk to get us a new set. She told us it would be a few minutes because she was the only one working and she was busy making breakfast for guests. Unbelievable that is your worry when you have other guests locked out of their room in their pajamas. So finally we get in and as soon as we get in and get back to sleep, construction and loud noise all morning long. For $125, I expect a lot more than this. Will never return to this hotel.

The hotel common area is small, so as the room itself. The room is ok clean, the bathroom has been cleaned but can see old stains. Room carpet looks worn out. I think it’s due to the age of the hotel. The place looks dated overall. Common area is not very clean, especially the hallway carpet. The dining area and breakfast was good enough. The location is at a convenient location. Close to many stores, including the nice waterfront shopping and restaurants area.
