I brought my friend in hospice to the therapy pool twice in 2022. It was magic for her, the last time she could float and stand. The staff was helpful and respectful to her and I am forever grateful.

Weight room gets a little claustrophobic. Early morning crew is very pleasant. Some of the equipment could be a lot better, like that rusted multitrainer near the bench presses.
I only go here because I got a free membership. If I’m honest it’s definitely not worth the price.

The president of the YMCA is very rude and inconsiderate. My family had our membership removed and told not to go back to the Ewing pool because we reported someone for verbally abusing my child. He didn't care to hear what happened. All he kept repeating is "it takes 2 to tango". Nasty attitude ?.

Super sad it was so dirty. I bet if you took a power washer to the pool and surrounding floor it would come out a completely different color. There is also some sort of sprayed substance on the ceiling of the therapy pool that is very clearly falling off and into the pool. Appears to be in need of some grants to get a few things up to par.

Not lgbt friendly. If your kids are in a phase of their lives where they are exploring avenues, do not send them here. My child comes home crying and shaking each time talking about how the staff will gang up on them and harass them til they cry. My child does not feel safe here, not sure why I pay the fees. Warning to all parents who may have a rainbow child, they are not safe here.

Not very family friendly. Took my wife and 3yr old to the pool, no other kids were there. This happened to be the first time there. We constantly got screamed at but an elderly lifeguard named Bruce to be quite or leave, even telling my wife she should learn to raise a well behaved child. She was so embarrassed we left and asked to speak to management. The aquatics director I spoke with apologized but went on to say she couldn't guarantee that their lifeguards wouldn't act in such a manner. I asked for a refund minus the trip we just went in for and was denied. According to the terms under no circumstances is a refund to be issued, go figure.

I just wish they would put money back into the building. The ceiling of the pool area is disgusting. Just look up at it when you visit the Sauna, Steamroom, Pool etc. The floor of the men's locker room and pool need to be replaced years ago. Half the lockers in the men's room are rusted out and don't work.the mirror really needs replaced in the mens room too! Do those four things and the place wouldn't be bad. If you really wanna do it right paint the floor and walls of the pool as well. Everything else look OK. Find yourself a GRANT WRITER and get on the ball. With the above I just mentioned it really makes things look unhealthy.

I arrived to begin a membership at the Beaver YMCA. Upon my first time arriving, I was offered a tour of the facility. A woman showed me around reluctantly. At the end of the tour, the woman turns and looks at me and says “and just so you know, we like to cover up here.” Insinuating that my outfit was inappropriate or something. I was not wearing anything promiscuous. I was wearing pants and a “shorter” top. One might also consider it to be a crop top. It was not offensive at all, I don’t even think my belly button was showing. We are talking minimal to NO skin showing on my midriff. It was also snowing and cold outside, so I was pretty covered up. I was taken back by her response and simply stated “okay”. I did not pitch a fight, just let it go. I also observed many other women in the facility wearing way less modest clothing than myself. I love this ymca but that interaction was not a great first impression of the Beaver YMCA. I will never forget how that woman treated me. I have been to numerous other YMCA’s in the area such as Butler, Cranberry, Grove City, and Natrona Heights, etc. I never had any sort of issues at those facilities because of what I chose to wear. I know that the YMCA has some sort of dress code but if they plan to heavily enforce it, then there should be a sign promoting the specific dress code they are expecting us to wear.

Just started work out. Need to go more. Good place, not busy. People keep to their selfs.
