Worst shopping experiences ever here at this location. The manager is rude and vulgar with customers and employees. The store would thrive if proper management was in place. The manager here is by far not a person who has the ability to lead a team.

The young female manager at this Dollar General on Highland Avenue has no idea how to speak to the customer. She’s always very defensive when you ask her something she talks down to you. It’s almost dismissive. I come here cause it’s so close and typically overall the experience isn’t too bad but ever since they lost all their old employees this store has gone downhill and the primary reason that I’ve heard from the other old employees is because of her. How this company is not teach or train their managers to speak to their customers treat them as if they’re very important is unbelievable especially a company at this size. Totally disappointed with my experience tonight as well as many other nights that I come in here.

Rude kid behind the counter needs to find his happy place and treat people better with out the little pissy attitude. It's not like I can't just go a mile in the other direction to find another one.

This dollar general is one of the good ones. Friendly employees but I do have to give a shoutout to the very pretty and nice girl working the register. Her name is Bri, I went in there one day trying to load money on my card and she was very helpful about it, gave me some recommendations, yesterday I went in there to just buy something for dinner and she remembered me, we talked for a little bit and I had told her that one day she is off she needs to order something at bills (on account of I work there and she remembers my bills shirt I had on ?) she is a very helpful, pretty, and hard working lady. Somebody give that girl a raise!! ?

Watch out for the one employee, a little guy who refuses to give his name (I have given him the name Richard) and works here in the evenings. He is always making absurd comments to customers as he's following them around the store harassing them.I won't hold it against the other employes tho, as everyone else who works here is great. It's not their fault they have a coworker who's got a case of little man syndrome; coupled with the feelings ofdisappointment his parents must have for him when he didn't live up to their expectations must get to him as he's walking to work at Dollar General.Someone get Richard a Happy Meal and let's just be thankful he didn't become a cop instead. That's one power trip the neighborhood is not ready for.

Horrible I can not say EVERY ONE is as ignorant rude and very disrespectful I think THE ONE .... his promotion went to his head a little too much. if your store is open from a set time and closed at a set time. the community knows these hours of operation ... which means 10 pm is your close time... NOT 9:50 NOT 9:53 NOT 9:55 NOT 9:59PM... 10:00 PM 10!! stop closing early and being rude to everyone . and turning away customers at 9:50 trying to get in the store. i only give 1 star cuz it won't let me post without but 0 ⭐??

Very rude worker tells me I can't Wear my backpack into the store when I am a paying customer that is discrimination and it is not in your policy anywhere that says I cannot wear a backpack in your store!

Poor customer service. The employees are never at the registers while customers are waiting. Nor do the employees ever seem too keen on assisting customers when necessary. One woman with short, dark hair is always complaining about working and giving customers attitude when spoken to. Quite a disappointing DG location.
