I’ve never had problems with any other YMCA.
After canceling my membership I continued to be charged and had to lock my card. I called I filled out papers. No one seems to know what to do at the desk.
Hire ppl that actually do their job please!
The free weight area has dangerously malfunctioning equipment. The equipment is so out dated.
On a good note the pool is nice!
The swimming instructors are very nice as well.
Thank you for your efforts.

I'm genuinely disappointed with how this YMCA chose to handle its holiday hours. The facility was open on June 19 (Juneteenth) - a federal holiday that honors the end of slavery in the United States - yet it was closed on July 4th, just two weeks later.
It sends the wrong message about which holidays are valued and respected. Juneteenth is a day of deep historical and cultural significance, especially for the Black community. Choosing to remain open on that day, but then closing for Independence Day, comes across as out of touch and dismissive of progress.
YMCA prides itself on being inclusive, community-oriented, and supportive of all backgrounds. This decision didn't reflect that. I hope leadership takes a serious look at how holiday hours reflect the values they claim to stand for.
Please do better next year.

I have had a lot of success with my losing weight here. I regularly use the treadmill and walk for about an hour. I caught a stomach virus bc I didn’t sanitize properly but overall I am feeling fine now.

I'm new here from upstate New York and we had a brand new huge YMCA, as big as a mini mall and the people were exceptional. I did notice the man at desk seemed like he had attitude and not friendly. I plan on going for class and I hope I don't experience any rude unhappy people there. The YMCA should be positive, upbeat and happy. There was also a rude lady on the phone when I asked where you park.

Convenient location & overall clean, but disappointed in the lack of personal training sessions offered. I reached out twice, and still haven't heard anything back, so I had to pay someone online to make a custom workout for me and will have to hope for the best. I was hoping with the higher membership costs that I would benefit from the personal training classes offered, but since they aren't actually available, I will have to try other activities or group classes to get the most value out of my membership.

Before the pandemic I worked out at the y-zone a couple nights a week. This past May I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I was encouraged to get back to exercising but with the diagnosis I thought a regular workout would be difficult. Then I heard of a workout coach that also has Parkinson’s. I was excited to know that someone would understand my predicament. So I made arrangements to meet with the gentleman at the downtown Y. When I got there I was informed that he couldn’t help me because he was not allowed to use a room. I am a silver sneaker member and feel I am being discriminated for having a disability. Wouldn’t it be beneficial to have a coach with the understanding of Parkinson’s help all of us with this diagnosis??

I was not impressed. It was way too costly! I was there for four months and not one time was there anyone to show you how to work the machines. The janitor did and he was friendly. After the joiner fee it was 40.00 a month. They do not accept Silver Sneakers. They use to but they are making too much money so they don't need it. I now go to Forest Ridge where they access you and instruct you on how to use the machines. The pool is heated!! Much nicer than the y. They accept silver sneakers and lots of medical insurance. My insurance pays for 50.00 a month.
