In 1890 Abraham Brubaker Groff began selling farm equipment to neighbors. He used a barn as a warehouse. The business was known as "A.B. Groff,". The company contracted with New Holland Machinery in 1903 and with John Deere in 1915. When Charles, his son took over, a "C" it. Making it A.B.C. Groff as it known today. A corporation was formed in 1963. In 1967 the family sold out. The business grew representing John Deere and New Holland (CNH) and many shortlines including Kuhn, Hardi, Bush Hog. In 2009 A.B.C. Groff, Inc. was approached by CNH about a potential buyer. Ag Industrial with Wengers of Myerstown purchased the assets. A.B.C. Groff, Inc's long history serving the Ag and Const. community continues with quality aftermarket parts.
