Had a one night Valentine's getaway and everything was even better than expected! Very clean, modern, huge room with high quality finishes. Exceptionally nice staff, they even surprised us with roses and chocolates in our room for Valentine's Day! So thoughtful and sweet. Dinner at Stella was also excellent and convenient (don't even need to go outside to get to the restaurant). Views of the river from the room were beautiful, and location is right in the heart of New Hope, great shopping and restaurants (and spa) in walking distance! I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice place to stay! Bed was comfy, atmosphere was cozy and there wasn't much noise coming from the surrounding hallways. Very convenient location for exploring both New Hope and Lambertville. The only criticism is that the threshold between the shower and the rest of the bathroom wasn't constructed correctly. Water leaks out onto the floor, forcing you to use the bath mat as a barrier, which causes it to become soaked and unusable for the rest of the day.

The hotel says they are “kid friendly”, but the second night of our stay there was a wedding on the second floor (rooms are on the third floor) and the music was playing so loud the walls were vibrating all night. We had a 3 year old and 3 month old with us and it was impossible to get any sleep. When I went down to the lobby to complain and ask if guests are typically notified of these events ahead of time the desk staff said ownership “balked” at the idea of notifying guests ahead of time because they are unsure how to broach the subject. I can’t believe we paid almost $600 per night to stay here and this is the type of service we received. If you have kids find somewhere else to stay. I’m still in shock that hotel management thinks it’s a good idea to book a wedding reception one floor directly below where the guest rooms are.Edit: another guest named Jeremy left a similar review 11 months before mine. He was given a refund for the second night of his stay, but no refund has been provided to us a week after we checked out. Seems the service here is inconsistent as there should be a standard process in place for handling customer complaints. We’ll never come back to this place.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Ghost Light Inn. The location on the Delaware is tough to beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions about the hotel and local attractions. The room had every comfort one could hope for and the design and farmhouse decor of the inn is very aesthetically attractive. We highly recommend the GLI!

We just returned from his lovely hotel yesterday, and really enjoyed our room and our stay! Everything was so clean and so beautiful. We stayed on odd days so we didn’t get to check out the restaurant but would definitely return to the hotel. First time in New Hope and I’m glad I picked this hotel on a

ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU WANT HIGH PRICES AND POOR SERVICE.I thought this was the best place to put my closest family members for my wedding. Especially that I have a handicap Aunt that needed an ADA room, however We are talking 5 family names on a list I booked at this hotel. I communicated over and over that my Aunt was handicap and needed to be in the ADA room. I even went there in person the day before to ensure it would go seamlessly, and then I provided all of my 5 family rooms which room numbers they would be in. However upon arrival my young cousins with 2 small children arrive and the GM Jim tells them a different room number. They told him that was not the room they were supposed to have, however he insisted they go to that room (which was the ADA room for my Aunt). So when my Aunt arrives in her wheelchair she gets put into a regular room.. How you can not see the women in the Wheelchair needs the ADA room is beyond me? They did not try to fix the mistake then, or maybe didn't care. Then I find out on my wedding weekend that my Aunt is not in the ADA room, and since the regular toilets are so low she got stuck on it, which is a massive problem. Not until my cousins and my Aunt had to complain to them did they then tell them to swap rooms.. lets be real.. you now have my cousins with 2 small kids (2 & 4 yrs old) and my handicap Aunt now switching rooms. This is ridiculous. Bottom line is the hotel's excuse was "we were confused because they had the same last name" ... You are a hotel, you handle weddings all the time, weddings have people with the same last names, there was a list of 5 names, and my guests told them that the room was wrong since they knew their room number.. however he didn't listen .. clearly Jim didn't care to make the effort to look over the list, which would have quickly solved this, or to listen to them when they said it wasn't right.. or to open his eyes and see that when my handicap Aunt arrived in a wheelchair maybe say.. oh wait I put the wrong people in the ADA room lets fix this now. Nope, put her in the wrong room, waited for all the problems to unfold and just was filled with excuses when this all bubbled up. I would NEVER work with this place again. and if you want organization, and things to be handled with proper care for the Price .. this is not the place. We did receive exceptional service across the street at the Logan Inn for other family members, that is a better bet if you want your experience to be smooth and handled with care.

Looking at other reviews, I think that either their specific circumstance was extraordinary or they are likely never happy about anything at any hotel ever. I thought my stay was enchanting. It is a perfect getaway for couples. It was a quick drive from NYC (about 80 minutes) My room was incredibly intimate with spectacular water views. The bed… I haven’t slept that hard in a long time. People judge a room on different factors that appeal to them. For me, the mini bar, options and snacks were exactly what I hope to find when I stay at a hotel. It had all the comfort snacks that I wanted and it had a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Every detail in the room I thought was perfectly planned. They even have a sound machine next to the bed with a timer, and I was asleep within 10 minutes. And around the property, you can walk along the promenade enjoying your morning cup of coffee, and there’s even a little outpost to take bread for a small fee to feed the ducks in the morning. Stella, the restaurant attached to the hotel, is delicious. I’ve eaten here several times, but this is the first time I’ve stayed at the hotel. I highly recommend almost everything on the menu — I haven’t tried everything yet lol. But overall, I give this a five out of five and recommend it for anyone within an hour and a half to 2 Hour drive. of New Hope to come and stay here for a romantic weekend getaway. Loved!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous, relaxing. This is the most stunning place we have been. We like to travel around to little boutique hotels for a recharge. This is by far the best one yet! It's a little tough because my wife and I sleep in separate beds but not that night!!! If you are looking to go someplace special with somebody special this is it! We stayed in the carriage house suite and it exceeded expectations. The management is top notch!

The staff was very accommodating. Our room was ready when we got there at 12:30 pm. I love when we don't have to wait for our room. Everything very clean. Comfortable. When they heard it was our anniversary we found a box of chocolates outside our door. Their restaurant Stella, had a very nice brunch. Setting is beautiful overlooking the River.

The second night of our stay, the hotel rented the entire restaurant below for an event which played music loud enough to shake our walls in room 9 from 7-11 pm. When we contacted the desk, they said that they normally don’t rent the entire second floor, but that they couldn’t do anything to quiet it, and that they should have contacted us beforehand to let us know that the event would be taking place, but hadn’t. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay I’d find somewhere else.

For the exorbitante room price you would think the parking it’s included, and guess what…IS NOT! Expect to get a BIG TIME ATTITUDE from the girl at the reception as well! The room was gorgeous but the services…I’ll definitely pass the next time.Dear manager, you will lose lots of customers because of your receptionist!Oh not to add, they promised to ship an object I forgot in the room (on my cost) and they never did! Only promises… chose your employees wisely next time! I will pass my experience to every one of my friends

Beautiful place right on the Delaware River and in the heart of New Hope, a quaint historic town with lots of shopping and dining experiences. It is also within walking distance of the Delaware River State Park. This is a luxurious hotel that is worth the price.
