“Easy to schedule an appointment online. Our cats spay was super quick. Dropped her off in the morning, my toddler was very upset to leave her so when I got the call to come pick her up just a couple hours later I was surprised and relieved. The front desk lady seemed very empathetic to my son's being sad about his kitty. Affordable and the outside of the one building with the cats painted out front is wonderful to see.”

“Dr. Bernadette Santos is a wonderful vet. I brought my extremely anxious 17-year old cat who always freaks out at the vet to see her for a checkup. She was kind and gentle with Dolly and for the first time in years Dolly allowed a vet to handle her without freaking out. Dr Santos is smart and compassionate and the visit went well. I highly recommend Dr Santos and Pittsburgh Spay and Vaccination Clinic.”

“Best Vet experience I’ve had with Pippin. I have had very terrible experiences at AVETS and Banfield with my beloved Pippin. The whole staff at the Monroeville Animal Hospital were extremely kind and didn’t act as if Pippin was a dollar sign. He came in for a conjunctivitis case . They treated him with love and kindness and we need more vets like these people! Will definitely make them my primary vet for Pippin. Thank you guys! He got his eye ointment treatment and everything should be smooth sailing from here. :)”

“Homeless Cat Management Team is a great resource for low cost spay neuters. However it can be difficult getting an appointment and staff can be overwhelmed (as expected in high pace clinics).”

“Dr. Showalter and the staff at Golden Mile Animal Clinic are knowledgeable and professional. My Whoodle (Declan) and I have enjoyed more than three (3) years of quality care. They are accommodating and compassionate in their practice and both Declan and I are gratified by professionalism. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

“First visit and Dr. Honse was wonderful. She took the time to explain the dental extraction I am looking to have performed on my 13 year old dog, that my regular vet does not do. The staff is welcoming, and as I have terriers I appreciate the NO retractable leash policy, payment in the exam room so I'm not struggling to watch my dog while checking out, and being walked out by a tech in case there maybe other dogs in our path. Very clean, well run office. I will definitely be back! Thank you.”

“I had an emergency last night at 10:30 pm with my one horse experiencing a colic episode. I called into the service and within 5 minutes Dr. Solomon had called me back. After the 2nd call i decided to have her come to my barn to be safe rather than sorry. They arrived sooner than I was advised which was amazing. This was my first time with Allegheny having transferred from my retired vet. I was very impressed with Dr. Solomon and Dr. Cassidy. Both women were very knowledgeable and efficient, and took time to address all my concerns. Dr. Solomon followed up with me this morning. I wanted to thank them both and am so pleased with this experience, even though a scary one for me, and look forward to their ongoing care. I highly recommend Allegheny Equine.”

“Dr. Giri has done TPLO surgery on both knees of our 7 yr old golden retriever. We could not be happier with the care our dog received. He gives an all in price up front and he sticks to that price. The process is much less stressful knowing exactly how much it's going to cost and not having to worry how much is this visit going to cost every time you have a follow up visit. He takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about your animals recovery. He is always willing to explain the process and answers questions. He provides a thorough at home physical therapy plan for your dog to help the surgery succeed. Thanks for the excellent care.”

“The entire team here is great! They get you checked in easily, and the receptionist even asked to see Nibbler as we were checking in. We were not in the waiting room very long before going to a room to see Dr. Reith(sp). The tech was a kind gentleman who took very good care of Nibbler getting him out of the cage, weighing him and comforting him whilst receiving his 2 shots. Dr. Reith and I came to an agreement on how to better manage his medications and treatment. She explained everything very thoroughly and answered all of my questions without hesitation. During checkout, all of the employees that were st the desk said goodbye to him and made a yearly follow-up visit. I highly recommend bringing your pets to this very clean, friendly, and caring environment.”

“Every now and then I make a poor decision. I took my two new kittens to a veterinary chain. I thought it would be more “convenient”. One of my kittens is not doing so well and the only real help from the “chain” was to throw antibiotics at the issue, rather than working to understand the underlying issue. Having been a client of Harts Run for years with previous cats, I knew immediately the error of my ways and made an appointment at Harts Run. What a difference. The vet took a lot of time with me to talk through all of my kitten’s symptoms. We discussed what it could be, both the not so bad and the really bad, and produced a plan for treatment. Note: antibiotics were not part of the treatment plan. The entire staff at Harts Run is top notch. I learned my lesson. There is no other vet for me. I wholeheartedly and with fervor recommend Harts Run.”

“First, they were able to get us in the same day. Which is very rare for a veterinarian.Dr. Sweeney and his associate were so kind and gentle with our cat during the examination. His diagnosis was bad. Dr. Sweeney gave us time to process and decide the next step without any rush. He gave our cat an injection to put him to sleep before the euthanasia injection and this made us feel more comfortable staying with him until the end. When his ashes were returned, he included a paw print out of clay and a heartfelt card expressing his condolances. Simply amazing, I wish we would of found him sooner to care for all our animals.”

“My Aunt recently passed and we needed a place to board her cats and get them up to date on their shots. Borderbrook worked with us and provided kennels at a very reasonable rate. Can't say enough about the staff and they're w willingness to accommodate our needs and they needs of the cats.”

“I took my German Shepherd there for the first time and he loved it! Lol. he was having very painful/itchy ears.they had to swab the ears which he freaked out about that, but the vet and tech were SO sweet. I almost wanted to cry because of how sweet they were to him. He got lots of pets and treats after. We will continue coming here!”

“Dr. Wiles and Dr. Santos have taken excellent care of my pets. The staff is always kind and considerate. I have been taking my pets here my whole life (my parents took our pets when I was a kid, now I take mine as an adult). I think their prices are very reasonable. I've never had trouble getting an appointment. They are so good with my pets and I wouldn't want to take them anywhere else.”

“I am absolutely impressed with the quality of care you receive here other than going to Banfield. Thank goodness I found this place. Northern Pike Veterinary Hospital gives you the absolute best care for your pet, and it's worth every penny!!!! A+++++”

“Second visit here. Seen in a timely manner, which is almost unheard of based upon my many other visits with other vets. The techs and vets are very kind, and suggest reasonable tests to investigate issues. I never feel like they’re trying to sell me exorbitantly priced tests etc. when I don’t feel it’s justified and have trust in their recommendations. I will pass up any other non-shelter vet in the area to see them. They give options when possible and break everything down. Thanks for being helpful!”

“I had to bring in my dog last minute because my regular vet was closed. I called around 2pm and they were able to squeeze me in at 4pm. I was a bit nervous because my dog tends to be anxious at our regular vet. The front desk worker/tech was a younger guy and was absolutely AMAZING with my dog. I wish I would’ve caught his name. He played with my dog, gave him a few treats and made my dog feel comfortable. The result was my pup being really comfortable in this new environment! The doctor was very polite and professional and handled our case appropriately. He was very thorough in asking questions about my dog’s current illness. For 2 medications, 3 injections an exam and a pannel, our total was only $255. Thank you so much for your service! My furry feiend and I appreciate you!”

“I was 7 minutes late for my appointment and they turned my dog away. They could of made an exception, but they didn't. This was my fault that I was late, but still very disappointing. I have decided to pay double the price and go somewhere that they understand when you are running late, and their customer service is a little more friendly. If you are going to do business with this place, make sure that you are running a tight ship, because they stick to their rules. The 5 star review is so that this gets read, and people don't take time off of work for nothing.”

“I'll have to wait for a full review.I had to put my dog of 15+ years down.I had 15 applications in.Adoption was $300-400 with all shots, spay and 40x blood work done.I was really hoping for a pup who was 3 months, started potty training and was foster raised.I decided to stop over and I met 2 pups. The little girl and I seemed to fitDespite being on SSD fixed income ( pretty low), I also purchased the insurance. Her spay was done the day before adoption.Despite the adoption rate being higher than the rest.I didn't fully understand that they didn't have a 2 week checkup or spay issue visit cared for in the package. She did develop a problem with her surgery site.It took 3 days to get an informed call back.Only to say I would be completely responsible for something that occurred from the actual surgery. The insurance I was strongly encouraged to purchase at $56 a month.Has a 2 week wait period on the illness/ injury. This has been worrisome and disheartening.I absolutely hate when someone says, " You could always surrender them."I have adopted from them most of my life. You rescue an animal that has been there 6 days.If she ends up needing radiographs or surgery related to a reaction to the spay, sutures, Seroma, Hematoma, etc.It falls on me ? ?”

“I have taken my dog to both Bandfield East Liberty and now Monroeville. I was happy when I found out that Dr. Petrarca relocated to the Monroeville office. We have always had a positive experience with her, my dogs love her, and she treats them as her own. Thank You!”
