My wife was traveling from Pittsburgh to DC on Oct 10. Unexpectedly was experiencing car troubles, so I told her to get off Turnpike ASAP. She got off in New Stanton, stopped at GetGo and was referred to Interstate.
She was greeted warmly by Jim Prince, who assured her that he would do what he could. He quickly and efficiently determined that she was leaking oil, due to an improperly installed filter. Jim added oil, put the car on the lift and inspected everything, put in a new filter, and she was on her way.
All told, we were in and out in under 2 hours. Jim truly is a Prince. God bless him.

I had something puncture my tire on the turnpike at around 7:45 A.M. After being told I would have to wait at least 2 hours at another shop, I called Interstate to see if they had any time to squeeze me in. Jim, I believe his name was, was awesome and helped me out so much. Even when they didn’t have my tire size at the shop itself, Jim went out of his way to run down to their warehouse to get my tire. I was fixed up and on my way home by 9:30. Thank you guys so much for your help!

When our 2006 Ram Truck exploded a battery on the Turnpike the tow driver recommended taking it to this shop. They were incredibly friendly, did a great job cleaning up the mess in the engine compartment, and got us new batteries in just a few hours so we could continue our trip home. They even helped maneuver our trailer around their parking lot so we could head out to lunch while waiting. I am exceedingly impressed with the folks and the word done.

We were driving through on the turnpike on our way home from MD to IN. Had rough vibrations. Stopped in New Stanton and met Jim. Absolutely fantastic guy. He showed me how a couple tires had worn all the way through to the metal strips. Had him change all 4 tires. He took great care of us and would highly recommend!

I can't recommend Interstate Tire and Auto highly enough! Last Sunday (7/28) I was driving from Indianapolis to visit family in my hometown near Carlisle, PA, when my vehicle broke down just before the PA Turnpike interchange in New Stanton. Because it was Sunday, no mechanics were open, so I got a hotel and had my vehicle towed to Interstate Tire and Auto first thing Monday morning. Jim took my vehicle right away and checked the computer codes so I could make a plan. Turns out I needed a fuel pump, and the part wouldn't be in until Thursday or Friday. I rented a car to drive the 2.5 hours back to my hometown and I waited for updates from Jim. He called early Friday afternoon to let me know the part was in, and I should expect my vehicle to be ready on Monday. At 9:00 on Friday night I got a voice mail from Jim telling me that he stayed for 3 hours after the shop closed to finish my vehicle because he didn't want me to have to pay more money on my rental car. He texted me pictures and a video of the issue because it turns out that previous work I had done on the vehicle caused this fuel pump issue. I drove back to New Stanton on Saturday to pick up my vehicle, and he had the old parts in a bag ready for me to show my local mechanic so I can try to get everything covered under their warranty. I can't thank Jim enough for going so far above and beyond to get me back on the road. If you need any repairs done and you live anywhere near New Stanton, Interstate Tire and Auto is definitely the place to go - be sure to ask for Jim!

Bob is a LIFESAVER! My car was overheating while I was traveling home from Pittsburgh. I was 400 miles away from home. I was towed from the turnpike over to Interstate Tire and Auto (recommended by tow truck driver) and went inside to speak to the shop manager/mechanic (Bob). He told me he was very booked, but once he understood my situation he fit me into his schedule and had my radiator replaced by the next day so that I could get home quickly! He is an excellent mechanic, super knowledgeable, communicates well, and is true to his word! I HIGHLY recommend Interstate Tire and Auto. Thanks again, Bob!
