Laundry near New Stanton, PA

“New to the area and this laundry mat is close. Solid experience overall.

Cleanliness: 8/10
Place was in decent condition and pretty clean for the most part. A few staines on the floor and trash need Ed emptied, but the machines looked to be fairly new.

Effectiveness: 7/10
Washer worked well and washed my load/s within 23 minutes. Dryers were more of a challenge. Large ones cost $.50 for 8 min then it’s an additional $.25 for 4 more minutes. It took about 12 quarters to dry all of my clothes over the course of 1.5 hours. I’d recommend using multiple dryers for large loads.

Availability: 10/10
Although, there are only about 12 washers and 12 dryers, I was able to use multiple machines at once. They were very user friendly and only one other person was there upon my arrival. There were 2 washers out of service.

Other Notes:
A) There is a change machine that accepts 1’s, 5’s, 10’s, and 20’s.

B) The vending machines are ancient. They don’t accept bills; only quarters, some of the drinks were in there upside down, and the can of Pepsi I got came out hot. Who wants to drink a warm pop from a machine when it’s 94 degrees outside? The snack machine only had plain chips &!nacho cheese Doritos. Definitely need to replace these.

C) No AC inside do you will work up a sweat.

D) unique characters coming in and out of the facility. I observed an older woman (early 60’s) with dirty hair walk in, go into the restroom, and walk out with a bikini on. It was a disturbing sight. Others came in reeking of cigarette smoke, but I guess you can get that anywhere.”

“Stopped in and didn't even realize it was a shoe repair store. We were attracted by the leather items we saw in the window so we stopped in. Staff are nice and if I need a repair I know a good place to go now~”

“Love the new machines and the ease of loading and unloading your clothes. It is super easy to get in and wash your stuff. Please note the machines require you to buy a card there at the facility so be sure to make your change over to theaxhone loading station first.”
