My husband got his car stuck and high centered on a weekend. Few days before that, it snowed and rained. Unfortunately, the car he was driving wasn't designed for steep roads, it's not a four wheel drive, let's put it that way. He didn't really need it to be towed since it's driving fine. It just needed to be pulled out. It was weekend and unfortunately he called them without calling around or checking out their review first. He initially got quoted for $225 to pull the car out from the mud. They were 30 minutes away. When they came, it took them less than 15 minutes to hook up the car and pull it out. Then he got charged for $445 which was basically double from what they initially quoted him over the phone. He was pretty much under a virtual gun barrel because he took it with faith that what they quoted was exactly what he will pay for. It's already a hefty sum for $225 just to pull the car out, but to be charged almost double the price without even getting towed is ridiculous. The most that he got charged before for getting towed for 15 miles is $150 and that's already a hefty sum 3 years ago. But these guys are the winners for shyster of the year. When my husband recounted what happened, I went ahead and started reading other people's reviews. I don't normally do a review on a business or service that I do not have personal and direct experience but in this case, I will make an exception. If a business is reviewed and gets 20 reviews giving them 1 star out of 36 reviews, there must be a very good reason behind it. And if they have a common theme why this business was given a 1 star review, it certainly is good to pay careful attention. We understand fuel cost and inflation, but this is highway robbery. Caveat emptor, buyer beware.

I was stuck and needed to be pulled out. I was quoted $250 which if that was what I was charged would be the most I ever paid for a tow. The tow truck operator was 30 minutes away and took 10 minutes to pull me out. No hang ups no towing and I was charged $445 which is basically double what they quoted me. These guys are dishonest and out to gouge and what they charge is criminal. I wish I read other’s reviews before calling these guys. Avoid this place at all cost. Even if you call someone from Harrisburg or Carlisle for a tow near Newport, you’ll get a much cheaper tow. Read other reviews and take heed. These guys are out to rip you off.

IF YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS TOWED, AVOID THIS PLACEVehicle was towed here from my insurance beyond my control. My truck sat there for 2 weeks, i frequently called for updates and staff told me they’d call me back the next day but never did. I then asked for my truck to be towed back to my hometown for service at the dealership which cost me $550 for only 30 miles. They also charged me $50 “looking at my battery”. Upon arrival to pay at the drop off, they would not take check (which is fine) but nobody relayed this to me prior. They stated that I said I would pay in cash (which I never stated). Staff was rude, poor communication, and absurd prices.I calculated it out and they charged me a little over $11/mile for the towing fee. Absolutely absurd when the typical fee is $2-4 per mile. Unfortunately I was left without a choice. Just a PSA for people who want to avoid being scammed.

I don't understand why there overall review is a 2.7. Frys garage & towing is an amazing towing group. My car broke down with all my general contracting tools and alot valuable items. He towed my car to KY house from Camp Hill. He was so nice and very sincere. He is a great guy and allowed me to be able to not worry about having to empty my car and worry about my car. I highly recommend this group. They are genuine and hard workers. Thank you so so much again for your help! Your an absolute live saver.

Towing Company. Guys, if you ever need a tow, a jump, or gas to get your car going, do yourselves a favor and call Fry’s Towing. Their whole team is absolutely amazing. Your will be glad you did. I called my roadside company and asked them to send Fry’s and the team stuck with me for two days as we figured a way out of a difficult spot.If you do call them, mention the girl with the rav4 that got stuck in the south garage at hershey medical. I’m sure it will give sean, nicole, or jason over there a chuckle.Love the Fry’s Towing Team!!!!

Best towing service! I have had over 15 years of experience working in automobile claims and with towing companies, so I feel very comfortable giving Fry's Towing a 5 star rating. I called my road service provider and they dispatched Fry's Towing. The dispatcher said it could take 60 minutes. Within two minutes of dispatch, I received a call from them and within 15 minutes, Sean of Fry's Towing arrived on a cold and raining night. He was pleasant, helpful and extremely polite as he proceeded to load my car on his rollback tow truck. After getting to my son's home, I immediately notified my road service company to let them know about the great experience I had with Sean and his company. Take you again, Sean, for making the very best from a bad situation.

Dishonist and extremely nasty person. . My grandson was run off the road at 2pm on a Saturday by a drunk driver and was hurt. I called Frys and spoke with Shane even though I thought the price was high he was charging for Towing. Less then 8 miles. $1187. I was most upset that he insinuated my grandson was a drunk, driving around at 4 Am. This was so far from the truth and how he thought it was ok to assume something like that and say it to me was disgusting. My grandson is lucky to be alive and the accident wasn't his fault. He also said the car was a " piece of junk" and the tires were bald. This car was was inspected one week ago and tires were fine with lots of tread left. This was said because I had asked what he would give us to scrap the car because it was totaled. I believe the state police in Newport must have an arrangement with this man. Please do not let your car be towed here. There are many other places just as close. Google it. The reviews are either 1 or 5 stars. . Ask yourself why? No in between. He has many more unhappy real customers then friends apparently.

What a rip off of a garage. First wanted to charge me $320 to tow it down 8 miles from where I broke down. The tow operator does not know prices btw. $100 to hook up $195 to take it down 8 miles and $50 a day to stay in their lot. One of the owners name is Shawn Fry and he's a real piece of work.

I'm 75 years old and just experienced the biggest rip-off of my life dealing with Fry's garage. Towing charge: $100 to hook up car, $245 to tow car 5 miles then $150 to store it 3 days for a total charge of $495.00. I hate to think what they charge to fix cars. STAY AWAY FOR THIS GARAGE!!!

Run as fast as you can. Fry's Garage is a bunch of crooks. They overcharge for everything they do. We had a car towed by them and they charge us over $300 to tow the car less than 5 miles to their garage. They simply could care less about you as their customer and only care to gouge customers in need. I wish Rudy's Garage was still around. That business was run with integrity and decency. I am sorry in advance if you do not consider my warning. Have a great day!
