Recently my car failed to start in a shopping center This was on a Friday night and everything was closed I left a note with my keys and location of car
On Monday morning the guys at Edgemont were able to get the car started saving me the cost of a tow and into the shop
They had me up and running by Tuesday morning and it would have been Monday afternoon but a wrong part was sent ,not their fault
These guys are the real deal
My mechanic of 40 years recently retired so Edgemont will be my go to

I have been going here for close to two years but recently I have lost trust in this shop after three separate instances where they recommended expensive repairs (totaling around $4000) that were not actually needed. Each time I got a second opinion from another certified shop that told me that in no way do I need these repairs that Edgemont recommended.
The most recent example was them telling me I need to replace all of the break pads on my Rav4 before I could pass state inspection to the tune of almost $700. But the break pads and rotors were less than a year old with maybe 1500 miles on them. When the other shop inspected them they found nothing wrong with them and they were nowhere even close to needing to be changed.
The time before that they told me my water pump was leaking coolant and needed to be changed. They quoted me over a $1000 to replace it. I took it to the other shop and the problem was actually with a $20 plastic coolant fitting that was next to the water pump that was visibly leaking. After changing it out there were no more issues.
Trust is #1 when building a long term relationship with service providers like Edgemont. I had several family members recommend them so i gave them a shot. But after these issues with them I can say that I no longer trust that they are going to be honest and fair with me and that it feels like a waste of time to take my car to them for anything more than an oil change if they are not going to be straight with me about what the car actually needs.
If you intend to use this shop I would highly recommend getting a second opinion from another shop after they try and push an expensive repair on you.

Lou Matteo at Edgemont Automotive is the best. The battery in my car appeared to be dead in the parking lot a few doors down from his store. Lou saw me trying to jump start it and offered to help. Turns out it was a loose battery cable, which he tightened for me. Despite my insistence, he wouldn’t accept any payment for the help he provided. A true gentleman.

this place is fantastic! most importantly they are honest. next importantly they are very adept at fixing, managing and improving a car. they. know what they're doing. and then the price - they are reasonably priced. but best of all, if you live at White Horse Village - a retirement immunity -they pick up & deliver the care. that's because they do a lot of business here with us senior citizens. I would not go elsewhere and am grat they are nearby!

Used Edgemont Auto twice now. The first time was just for an oil change. I didn't mention that the brakes felt off as I had previously taken it to the dealer to get checked and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong and that it was normal for an older car. Edgemont Auto called to tell me they could feel something was off and their suggestion for trying to diagnose which I agreed to. It didn't take them long to not only find the issue but also order the part and do the repair. The total cost came in a bit lower than the amount they estimated and the difference in the brakes was immediately obvious. The second time was for an inspection. They found issues (as expected on an older car) but were upfront about what must be done to pass inspection and what could wait and provided a detailed list on the repairs I opted not to have done yet along with estimates so I could plan for them. Again they ordered parts and made the repair very quickly and the cost was under the estimate as well as the estimated cost for the service found online. The staff is friendly and willing to take time to walk through anything. They schedule appointments quickly. Quality service and I don't leave feeling like I was ripped off like many mechanics!Services: Engine repair
