I can't speak for the overall organization of this third generation family bank from Philadelphia, a/k/a "The Official Bank of the Eagles," but this local Newtown branch seems not quite up to snuff. After ten years in Goodnoe's Corner it still is without a single Yelp check-in, nor review, while the retails around them are busy with customers and write ups. We stopped in recently to consider opening an account for one of our ventures and found the floor empty of anyone doing business in the middle of the afternoon. Beyond that, the two employees we saw were not engaging, nor did they both look like bank workers. Somehow wearing a large green Eagles sweatshirt and semi wild hair was not suggestive of a serious businessperson. That was shortly confirmed when she went behind the glass partition and had a difficult time answering questions and quickly grew frustrated with us. True, we were seeking rather esoteric information about international transfers and name changes, but we weren't getting answers, nor even helpful inquiries that might lead to solutions. So, we left without accomplishing our goals, and went to a nearby bank with a different name, where we quickly connected with a bank representative and figured out how to do what we came for. Perhaps, just this branch has a sleepy atmosphere where challenging tasks aren't often presented, nor resolved, but as a first impression, this organization offered a poor, semi unprofessional initial image. I can only imagine what they do if your aren't from Philly or don't hold the local sports teams in high regard! Worse, what do they do if you walk in wearing New York or Dallas logo merch.? Don't know and don't care. We won't be back.
