I am really disappointed with my recent haircut at the Newtown, PA location. A few years ago you could get a pretty good haircut here but that is definitely not the case anymore. I told the stylist what I wanted and she disagreed and insisted on cutting my hair in a different way. I wanted it shorter and a different style. The cut was rough and uneven. I then asked her to blend the top in with the sides. I mentioned this a few times and she didn't do it. She didn't ask about my sideburns and never trimmed them. I probably could have cut my own hair at home in the mirror and have better results.. In fact I had to go home and fix the many mistakes made by the stylist.
I had a similar experience with another stylist at this same location a few months ago so this seems to be a service, quality, and lack of experience issue. They are charging 22 dollars now for a haircut at Great Clips.. I can go to a barbershop nearby and pay a few dollars more for a premium cut.

There’s not much you expect from this place except for quick, easy and affordable services specially for kids. But a little bit of professionalism and cleanliness goes a long way. The lady I believe her name was Nancy, hardly bothered to clean the chair despite telling her that there was a lot of hair on the chair. Without even putting on her glasses she said I don’t see anything but I’ll clean it if you say so and ran a blow dryer for 2 secs which didn’t change a thing. She made my kid sit on the same messy chair and continued as though I was speaking to the walls. And a few other things but this was my main concern. To top it when I was billing with someone else she ran to the machine and was peeking into how much tip I was giving. Very unprofessional lady. I wish I could not give her any at all. But with that peeking she kinda pressures people into tipping her.

The haircut was decent but highly recommend not to go for a beard. Messed up mine big time and wasted $10. How hard it is to tell if you don’t know how to trim a beard, and how to listen first and then act. Never coming back to this location again.

Absolutely worse salon experience of my life. I went in today to get a cut and blowout with a small window of time. I was greeted warmly when I walked in by one of the stylist and I let her know that I needed a blowout also. When it was my turn, a different stylist was available. She did everything she could to talk me out of a blowout - it would be extra for the shampoo and she wanted to charge me extra for long hair although my hair is shoulder length and I was having it cut even further. She finally gave in and we went back for the wash. Maybe I am used to the head massage at Madison Reed, but this was violent. After dumping water down my back and face repeatedly, she literally threw a towel at me. When I asked for warmer water, she turned it colder and blamed it on the spigot. When she dried my hair, she literally knocked me on the head with the dryer twice and dragged the brush across my face, popping out my contact. I've never seen anything like it.
