The Elmwood Zoo is awesome and a jewel of Norristown. This is not a review of the zoo. This is a review of an employee- ROY. I emailed yesterday asking a seasonal question, mentioning I had reached out last year and never heard back....I just got a call from Roy less than 24 hours later. He was very busy but took the time to call and apologize I never received a response last year and fully addressed my questions. Thank you very much Roy! Have a wonderful holiday and keep up the great work! Roy is a super edition to the awesome zoo staff! Thank you!

While this zoo is lovely during the day, don't waste your money on tickets for the evening Wild Lights! The zoo obviously way oversold the event. The parking lot was packed and it took us 40 minutes to find somewhere else to park and then hike back to the zoo. No parking attendants to help. (There was a shuttle but we never did find it.)It was so crowded inside that it was not enjoyable at all. Lines were extremely long at the food vendors. I waited about 10-15 minutes in line for popcorn for my grandkids and when I got up to the counter they said they wouldn't be selling any more for 20 minutes while they filled up the bin!The line for hot chocolate was extremely long and the price was $5.95 with no lids available. Two restroom stops took about 25 minutes total. We went to the event in 2020 and it was very nice--a show with Elsa and Anna and other special characters roaming about. None of that this year. I bought 7 adult tickets and 7 children's tickets and it was a HUGE waste of $220 (and that was with my membership discount!).

The light show was nice. Too bad more animals weren't out, but it is December. Parking was CRAZY but got VERY luck finding someone pulling out after several laps..

$86 to get in and then they charged $5 for the carousel ride and the barrel train another $5. Very awful rides they went around 2 times on carousel what a ripoff. No animals to really see. Save your money this was not worth it at all ! If they charged $50 for a family of 4 it would have been too much but at least not $110 to basically see very little

Not for the Christmas lights. Blatant cash grab. Carousel extra, animals asleep. Skip it

We went during the summer. I like that you can purchase tickets at specific times. It doesn’t seem overly crowded. We enjoyed feeding the giraffes but you do not get a lot of lettuce for the amount of money that you pay.It was really neat to see the different animal areas. They have a lot for a small zoo.Love that parents can purchase alcohol.

I absolutely love their holiday Wild Lights show! They really turn this place into a magical land of lights! It looks so nice this time of year. They also offer pictures with Santa and other select Disney characters. This year, it was Frozen characters, and the kids enjoy it every year! They have some animals you can see as well after dark, but some of them are inside fir the night. We come for the lights mostly, but if we get to see the animals, that's a bonus. I highly recommend Elmwood around the holidays. Their light show will not disappoint!
