The manager, who says he is from McKeesport and I better recognize, is unfair on a variety of levels. I'm speaking of the African American gentleman who is really full of himself out at the North Versailles outlet. The CEO of Goodwill makes 1.2 million dollars a year, as such the items that we donate should be priced fairly and negotiable.
A couple of the rugs pictured below or priced below the normal price of $6.99 by a store associate who felt a $1.99 was fair and light of the fact that the carpets were heavily stained and covered with dog hair. I wanted to buy them so I could help my elderly neighbor so she can enjoy her porch in her golden years however when I encountered the manager at the cash register and I handed him the tag for $1.99 he about pushed the panic button. He asked me who priced those rugs so cheaply and I didn't tell him. I didn't want to get the individual who was trying to move product that no one else except someone like myself that likes to refurbish things and help neighbors would buy. So I took the rap I told him I filled out the tag so as to save the store employee the grief.
Needless to say I was not afforded the price of 1.99 and I told him he could do something special with that whole buggy full rugs and I left. The supposed man then told me where he was from: McKeesport. He got somewhat aggressive verbally and followed me out the door. I thought I was going to have to defend myself but I'm glad it didn't come to that.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But the main culprit is not the man for McKeesport but rather the CEO that makes 1.2 million dollars a year. What type of work does this individual do? Does he carry 500 lb loads of stuff on his shoulders through 130° desert 24 hours a day 7 days a week? But I digress and look forward to progress. So be it!

Always rude workers. Got YELLED at by a manager when I had an ear bud in and didn’t realize they were changing the bins when I walked in “their way”. Today they said someone lost the bathroom key. So both bathrooms are just locked with no access and they don’t care enough to change the locks. Won’t be returning.

Good is good and you have some good stuff for a moderate or cheap price.

The Goodwill Bins differ from the storefront version - this is a warehouse full of sorting 'tables' of mixed donated items, a 'pay by the pound' that mixes items from across Goodwill's regional network. It is capitalism's bone yard, a river of things which still have value, but only dubiously. Others have passed them by.
Here one can pan for dinosaurs and dolls like a gold miner would a river. Under fire hazard tinsel trees one can spot wooden train tracks in perfect condition, or half of a Lego set, ready to be broken down for reuse.
Don't come here for the TikTok, don't come here for the vibes. Come here if you see yourself as a mushroom, a vulture, a fast growing tree. You release the hidden value here. The majesty begins when the great creatures fall, and their treasures spill into the forest.
Come down and sort through the bones of civilization!

Everything is set up in bins. Not really the best for trying to look for things when it's all scattered around inside bins and not on display. Bought a few pieces of furniture.

Used to be my favorite place to thrift. Place has gone way down hill. I Went from spending $200 or more to less than $20 each visit. Bins are not rotated as often and mostly is just garbage now. However, if you want to know which bin to go to, watch the workers tap the side of the bin. They save stuff for certain people and tap the bin to let them know which one to go to.you just have to fight the T Shirt boys. The same t shirt boys are often seen selling drugs in the parking lot.

Well known in the local community as a place where employees love messaging their buddies where the goods are. Goodwill says they’re against nepotism but it’s been like that for its entirety at this location. They need to move this location before it’s destroys their brand. Even hearing chatter at the town hall meetings. Save the automated response

Me and my sisters have been thrifting at the Goodwill for years, and yesterday, I was trying to donate. The employee came in there, screaming, yelling get out of there get out of there and continued to watch me and my sister the whole time we were shopping and then left where we walked to our car. He was being a creep; I was just trying to donate to the less fortunate . I can definitely agree with other comments and say this place has gone downhill the people there are so rude anymore. I work in customer service and I would never be that rude to a customer. I would just ask them, what they were doing in the room and they said donating I would leave them alone not follow them around the whole building. 0 stars!!!

The new cashier, crystal, accused a young kid of stealing. I said nothing, because I hadn't been watching him. A few minutes later, I made a purchase. As I exited, she shouted, what about those things on the bottom. I lhk, I just paid you, it's the first thing I purchased, and showed her the receipt . She then points at a tray, saying what about that. I said, I paid for that also. She says ok, that's fine, and I left. No fight, just a misunderstanding on her part. Next thing I know while packing the paid for items , an employee, followed by the store manager, were asking me to show the items had been paid for, especially the furniture. They apologized, all was well. After 12 years of shopping and donating, this was a very bad experience. Goodwill is great, crystal, not so much . She thinks everyone is there to steal apparently . A no star experience.

I used to love this place but certain management has ruined this place, it’s sad really. It used to be 1/2 hour between bin changes now it’s 2-3 hours minimum. All of the good employees have been fired or quit because of the “one who runs the whole building” as they twirl their finger on the air. I just find it very sad that they would allow it to get to this point. I’m sure they will be closed soon as sales cannot be good. Someone at the corporate level should really step in. The employees are given a list of brands of items to pull so they take anything worthwhile out of the bins but leave literal excrement. The one who runs the whole place has her “favorites” as far as customers who can do no wrong. Be careful what you say or do as the righteous one Queen of goodwill will off you from the place faster than they change bins. Good luck wear gloves to dig through the garbage that is left over from the greed filled management as you wait in a non air conditioned building for hours. DON’T FORGET THEY GET THE ITEMS FOR FREE TO HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE ?

Ive been coming to this location now for the past few years with my elderly mother who likes to join me occasionally for an adventurous afternoon out... However the last few visits.. The place has turned into an unsupervised daycare center / there are multiple kids ages.
ranging from 5-12 years old running around, swinging , throwing items/merchandise.. My mother was almost knocked off her feet by one of these kids...After she confronted the child , the father with (little Man syndrome) decided to start yelling & putting blame on my mother as if it was her fault!! Now my mother is afraid togo back to one of her favorite places!! Im not sure if the dad works there or not.. I think he came out of the backroom.. But it seems the management is allowing them to set up multiple carts / a designated play area all day long. This is not a place for children.. Especially unsupervised ....Update came back to the outlet a few times and everything seemed fine. Ask my mother to come back and she did..on 6/25. We got there about 9:30 and the daycare center was in full recess. 20 kids playing soccer with the dad other kids throwing superballs against the walls as hard as they can hitting people running around...i ask a few of the regulars that I've seen there before what is goin on here !! They all laughed and said welcome to the kiesha daycare center ...sign up bring a kid and let them do what they want...no adult supervision goin on up in here. I was just floored. You meen they are doin a day care in a business that is meant for shopping. Doesn't seem safe for kids or shoprs ...i guess if employers dont pay a good wage ...people got to make other income any way they can

The best goodwill outlet I’ve shopped at. The workers are always nice. The line up before bin change is a safe alternative compared to other goodwill outlets. Wear gloves. They seem to sort the bins better. Less hazardous items in the bins.

I really really want to love this place. It’s just so dirty and kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies digging in the bins is not very clean because people just throw stuff everywhere but I guess you get it for a dirt cheap price which is good, if you can ignore the rest. Not gonna lie I’ve always walked away with some really cool things from this place.
