“Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is widely considered a must-visit in Pittsburgh for its blend of nostalgia and awesome novelty items. Whether you are looking for a rare childhood candy or a bottle of different flavored soda, it offers an amazing shopping experience for all ages. I highly recommend this place. They also have a candy buffet for $5 you can fill a small container of all sorts of candy! It's a must stop!”

“A Pittsburgh treasure. We were helped by Cha and Mary. They were patient and very helpful. The shop is neat, clean and inviting. Our ice cream was delicious. We will be back!!”
“I LOVE local chocolate. The pecan turtle and solid milk chocolate cup are so flavorful. I also love the dark chocolate and chocolate caramels. Great place for unique flavor and supporting local business.”
“Great chocolate and an honorable owner and family who make you feel like one of them. It's the sort of place where you holiday shop for the grandkids or girlfriend. Love it”
“I respect the other reviewers taste, but as the son of a butcher, I can attest that the SHM pastrami sandwich was world class. Truly a squirrel hill treasure. It is meant to be shared, which explains the price, though I had a Burrito at Chipotle that cost more. Please try it so that we can preserve authentic, delectable, unparalleled deli without having to drive to Cleveland, Philly or NYC!”
“This place is so incredibly underrated. It's small but cute, lots of different kinds of sugary sweets though wish they had a little more chocolate. Still, I left with a couple dark chocolate bars, peach rings, aaaand rolling papers? How have I not been here sooner? Put up a bigger sign and consider hosting candy making classes. People would pay good money for that experience with a partner or friend! Hosting public classes/workshops would also spread word of the place. I'll be back!”
“Their were 2 boys working their when I want about a month ago, super helpful. Pricing was really good, you can fill a box up with a variety of different candy's and chocolates.”
“John and his team make amazing Chocolates! It's hard to pick a favorite ? Catoris has been around for nearly a 100 years, my only regret is not stopping in sooner!!!”
“I bought some chocolate dipped pretzels that were amazing! Oreo, peanut butter, twix and I can't remember the last one but it was very good ... the chocolate was smooth.”
“Mom and daughter run the store, they are do lovely. They sell everything from molds and decor to plastic containers and pre made buttercream. If your a home baker or even a small business owner this is your store.”

“They have hands down the best chocolate covered strawberries around! They're fresh juicy strawberries totally encased in chocolate, so delicious! ? My husband got them for me for Valentine's day a few years back and that's his go-to for every occasion now. I look forward to them. Every. Single. Time. They never disappoint!”
“Betsy Ann Chocolates operates stores in a few states. I visited this particular store to browse their flavors. An employee immediately greeted me. I wanted to purchase a couple pieces of several flavors rather than purchase by the dozen, and she weighed and priced those chocolates. I really enjoyed the taste of the raisin cluster, the cherry cordial, and the pecan cluster. I thought that the raspberry chocolate was decent.”
“I will always recommend Rocket Fizz, best place to find candy that usually isn't very available anywhere else. Also every staff member there is extremely nice.”
“My husband and I went today with our little one and got some truffles and fudge! Let me tell you, that chocolate is so good!!! Nothing compares to it. A small little shop in oakmont with the best fudge I have ever tasted!! My husband loved the orange truffle and they are so dense! Will be back for sure!! The lady working there was super nice as well!! Cute little shop!”
