They are amazing! We were in town from New York and my daughter takes a medicine that has to be compounded and we ran out! Luckily the medicine shoppe went out their way to help me obtain our New York issued script and filled it for me within a few hours. (Compounding takes time) they made sure it was done that day and kept good communication with me during the process. I appreciate them so much!

The staff is so nice and was able to get exactly what I needed for my sick kitty. He much preferred the tuna flavored meds to the unfavored medicine from another local pharmacy that can't do custom flavors for animals. We'll be using them again for sure

Excellent service. I have multiple Rx with this store. I never even have to call for a refill. They get my Rx, prepare it before I will be out of medicine, and ship it to my home for me. Greatly appreciated. Highly recommended. 👍🏻

I was a patient of Joyce’s for approximately four years. During that time, she prescribed thyroid medication and compounded topical creams that were essential to my health and well-being. I originally sought her care because I valued a functional, root-cause approach to medicine, and I appreciated her willingness to explore options beyond conventional protocols.
However, my experience over the last month has left me deeply disappointed and personally upset. I was recently accused of being deceitful for reusing labs that had already been drawn—something that was never communicated as a violation of her policy, and in fact had been standard and even encouraged by other functional medicine doctors I’ve worked with. In my experience, those doctors understood the high cost of appointments (especially when insurance is not accepted) and advised reusing labs to track progress and manage costs.
Without any warning or attempt to clarify, Joyce abruptly cut off all prescriptions that I had been stable on, leaving me without necessary medications and no time to transition care. Medical abandonment as some might call it.
What is especially troubling is how quickly the tone of our relationship shifted—once it became clear that I wasn’t scheduling frequent, billable follow-up appointments, I felt that the priority became revenue rather than patient wellness. This was never openly stated, but it became increasingly apparent that ongoing access to care was conditional on generating continual appointments, even when there was no real need for a consult.
I also found the harshness of her judgment difficult to reconcile with the image she presents as a Christian. As someone who shares that faith, I expected a measure of understanding, clarity, and charity in our communication—especially after nearly four years of working together. Instead, I was accused, misjudged, and abruptly dropped.
(Joyce, I simply don’t understand you. Know you have judged me wrongly. I was a faithful client. You accuse me of deception. Be open to the fact that your own actions may be wrong as well.)
If you are considering this practice, I would urge you to ask direct questions about policies related to labs, follow-ups, and prescription renewals—especially since this is a cash-only practice. Be aware that even a longstanding relationship does not guarantee continuity of care.
Also she lives and works out of North Carolina. She wasn’t available for in person appointments so it may be that I became more of a dollar sign than a patient she cared about. Either way don’t expect to be given the benefit of the doubt if ever she questions your actions.

They put unknown undeclared unlisted ingredients into my medication I have proof and they deny it and refuse to disclose what they’re putting in it other than the active ingredient. This place is horrendous go elsewhere they tell lies and manipulate and steal from patients

BEWARE. The will dismiss your concerns and will fight you on any issues. If you call with an issue, Joe will talk over you and will simply not listen to you. My advice is to find another pharmacy, this is not one you want to do business with.
